Spoken by People All Over The World. Another: 1. Confident
In this video we would like to share several tips on how to improve our english skill especially
speaking skill.
As what we know english is an international language, it means that english is spoken by people
all over the world. If you want to communicate with people from another country the only way is
use english. Learning english is not easy, but learning english will make it easier for us in many
things. Like wacthing film without indonesian subtitles, scholarship, join student exchange, and
make it easier to apply job.
here are some suggestions for how to improve English speaking skills.
1. Confident
Be confident and speak as often as possible, to as many people as you possibly can! Don’t be shy
to make mistakes! The more you practice, the better and more confident you will become in your
pronunciation and vocabulary. Remember, speaking is a skill, like learning a musical instrument
or new sport — the only way you can get good is to actually do it!
2. Read Aloud
Read the newspaper or a magazine out loud to yourself. You can even find a script from your
favorite TV show and act it out! This is a great way to practice pronunciation, as you can
concentrate on how your English sounds without worrying about sentence, structure or grammar.
After a conversation is over, take a moment to reflect: How did it go? How much do you think
you understood? How comfortable did you feel with the subject matter? Did you encounter any
unknown words? The mere act of thinking about it in this way will increase your confidence the
next time you speak and give you targeted things to work on, such as, vocabulary you didn’t
understand.
Listen to music in English and sing along. Music is one of the best tools for learning intonation
pronunciation. Listening to and singing songs might also help you remember vocabulary and
phrases, and it will help you learn to pronounce English rhythm in a more natural way. By
unconsciously imitating the singer, you’ll learn to pronounce phrases the way native speakers do.
6. Talk To Yourself
Saying your thoughts out loud or narrating your actions can be a very effective way to practice
spoken English. By talking to yourself, you can become more fluent in translating your thoughts
into spoken words. Practicing alone is also a low-pressure way to practice, since no one will hear
your mistakes.
