2ND QUARTER

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the grade 2 pupils are expected to;
a. Identify the describing words in the sentence
b. Use describing words in the sentence
c. Participate actively in the discussion
d. Express love and affection to loved ones.

III. PROCEDURE

Teacher`s Activities Pupil`s Activities


A. PRELIMINARY ACTIVITY
1. Prayer
Class before we start, everybody stand for a prayer. Everybody will stand and pray.
2. Greetings
Good morning Class! You may now take your seat. Good morning Ma`am!
3. Checking of Attendance
Is anybody absent from the class today? All are present ma`am.
Good. Attendance is perfect.
4. Review
I have a bowl with cards that have action words or
verbs. I will now call a pupil to pick a card. And do the
action written.

Guessing Game:
Class, I have different pictures. All we have to do is to

Vocabulary Development
1. Sauce- thick liquid served with food, usually savory dishes
to add moistness and flavor. “tomato sauce”
2. Warm- having or giving out heat to a moderate or adequate
degree.
3. Crunchy- making a sharp noise when bitten or crushed and
(of food) pleasantly crisp.
4. Spicy- flavored with or fragrant with spice.

5. pepperoni- a highly seasoned beef and pork sausage

- Teacher reads the poem first. Followed by the pupils, by rows Pupils read the poem, then by rows

Pizza is my favorite food.


With red sauce on the top
When I eat a warm piece
I just don`t want to stop

I love the soft cheese


That sits on the red sauce
My pizza has crunchy crust
Is very hard to toss.

Pepperoni on the top


Can be a spicy treat
Yummy, yummy, pizza
Let`s go its’ time to eat!

B. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON


Kindly read the underline words in the poem. Pupils read the underline words.
-Very Good! Red, warm, soft, sits, crunchy, spicy
- Those underlined words describe the pizza right. & yummy
- I have some more pictures here. I will show it to you on
screen. All of you have to do is to say something about the
pictures.
- The teacher will show the pictures on screen to the pupils
and the pupils will say something about it.

- Now, let us read the words on the screen. Pupils will read the words in the
