Intake Assistant
Manning the intake phone line for potential legal clients in cases regarding civil or do-
mestic issues, including marital, custodial, or financial issues.
Interviewing the client about personal and demographic information, i.e. fiscal status, so-
cial benefits, and extenuating information that would help their eligibility for pro bono
legal assistance.
Discussing and finessing the reasons for the clients’ need for legal aid, listening to their
particular legal issue and helping them recollect the details pertinent to their respective
cases.
Processing the clients’ verbal description of their cases and refining it into a coherent nar-
rative for the in-house pro bono attorneys.
In-putting data and case histories into online legal network, following state protocols and
calculating clients’ financial eligibility.
Coordinating with multiple legal service offices in the state of Indiana, updating them on
clients we cannot assist and rerouting them to the proper offices.
Handled and resolved membership concerns and informed supervisors of any potentially
unresolved or difficult issues.
Engaged with potential members in advertising the facility through walk-in’s or calls,

correspond with company website, and rectifying any discrepancies online.
Conducted research for PR department, including emailing music journalists and critics,
seeking out venues for radio airtime and music reviews, and parsing through a wide vari-
ety of blogs for concert coverage of a major company client.
Was assigned 20 high profile target cities toured by company’s clients, examining the
website’s database filters on those cities and performing data clean-up, editing and verifi-
cation that ensured journalists were current in those filters. Implemented a system to
make this an ongoing process for all filters in the database.
Assisted a senior publicist in researching new journalists using tools in company’s opera-
tions manual which extensively listed all newspaper outlets in the US and media outlets
across the US.
