1. "Playing house or playing robots/cars" is part of kids' childhood experiences. How


beneficial is it in our cognitive development? Cite 1 or 2 real life situation/s.
Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity,
and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to
healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage
and interact in the world around them

2. Research has shown that learners from low-income groups are at disadvantage
because parents cannot provide educational toys and entertainment media. How
important are these technological tools at an early age? Cite 2-3 real life situation/s.
In my experience I belong from low-income groups theres a lot of disadvantages that
parents cannot provide educational and entertainment media however I believe that
being less fortunate is not a hindrance to learn when I was a kid my mother created a
flash cards that will help me to identify letters and sounds. Being literate how to use
technological tools at an early age is so much more advantage because in your one
click it will help you to identify and read as well.

3. Recall one difficult lesson you were taught last school year? If you were the teacher
then, what scaffolds should you have used to facilitate learning? Cite 1-2 strategy.
Sensory - use physical and visual elements, manipulatives and visual aids together.
Sensory scaffolding also includes modeling in front of the class, since images and
gestures help paint a whole picture of the lesson.

4. What are the 3 Stages of Speech Development? Describe each stage in 1-2
sentences only.
The 3 Stages of Speech Development are Social Stage (The first stage). A child uses
speech to express simple thoughts and emotions in this stage a laughter, crying and
shouting is the best example of social speech is "I want milk”. Second stage (egocentric
speech) In this stage children often talk to themselves, regarless of someone listening.
Example is a child in school who counts out loud one block at a time saying each
number as he/she goes along to get five. This is the final stage of speech development.
It is inner, soundlessspeech.
