II. OVERVIEW

A. Introduction/Rationale:

A course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the concepts and


attributes of entrepreneurship. This course provides an overview of the entrepreneurial process
which are helpful tools to assess, shape, and act on opportunities. This also gives emphasis on
the entrepreneurial impact of entrepreneurship specifically on Philippine setting.

The abilities to think like an entrepreneur and act like an innovator are critical skills for
success across industries and are proven tools to help one to be distinguished in the workplace
and to accelerate careers.

B. Objectives:

At the end of this course, the students are expected to:

1. Analyze environmental set up relating to small industry.


2.Gain an understanding of how Entrepreneurial Thought and Action may be applied to
opportunities of all kinds including new ventures as well as innovation within existing
organizations.
3. Understand the fundamental concepts and analytical tools that serve as the foundation of
opportunity assessment and entrepreneurial development, and how these concepts may be
applied to real world business situations and opportunities.
4. Use a methodology to develop and assess new opportunities that forms the critical first step
in moving an idea from concept to launch and implementation.
5. Acquire the needed social responsibility and entrepreneurial discipline.

Course Requirements:
To obtain a passing grade in this course, one must

1. Submit all requirements needed


2. Do all the given activities
3. Follow instructions given and submit outputs on time
4. Keep track on the site or Facebook page where you can submit e-copies on some of the
requirements

Note that, online activities will be conducted. Phone calls may be done if necessary.
