Green Local HASP

Configuring Client Machine


Follow the steps below to configure or troubleshoot a client machine
utilizing a green local HASP key.

On Client Machine

1. Ensure green dongle key is plugged into USB port and the led light is on.
• If the led light is not on, then follow step 2.
• If the led light is on, skip to step 3.
2. Install HASPUserSetup.exe. This is provided in the HASP Utility folder,

3. Make sure port 1947 is open by going to http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html.
4. Click on Sentinel Keys under Options, and to the right you should see
the green key, Vendor number 41240, and location as Local.

5. Open the analysis software and check to see if it is able to successfully


find a license.

Note: Only one HASP dongle with vendor number 4120 may be plugged into a
machine.

Red Network HASP

Configuring Server Machine


Follow the steps below to configure or troubleshoot the server machine
utilizing a red network HASP key. Note: If server has already been
configured and issues are being experienced on the client machine, skip to
page 5.

On Server Machine

1. Install LMSetup.exe (as a service) and HASPUserSetup.exe. This is provided in the


HASP Utility folder,

2. Ensure red dongle key is plugged in and the light is on.
3. Make sure port 1947 is open by going to http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html
4. Click on Sentinel Keys under Options and to the right you should see
the red key with vendor number 41240 and location as Local (on the
server).

5. Once the server has been configured. Follow the steps on the next page.

Note: Only one HASP dongle with vendor ID 41240 may be plugged into a
machine.

Configuring Client Machine
Follow the steps below to configure or troubleshoot the client machine.

On the Client Machine

1. Open a web browser and go to local host


http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html
a. If the website inaccessible, please install the HASP drivers by
running HASPUserSetup.exe. This is provided in the HASP Utility
folder,

b. If website is accessible, continue with step 2.
2. Click on Sentinel Keys under Options and to the right you should see the
red network key with vendor number 41240.

a. If you don’t see the red key go to Configuration under Options


on the left.

b. Select the Access to Remote License Managers tab and check
the box for Aggressive Search for Remote Licenses. In the
field next to Remote License Search Parameters type in the
Server IP Address that contains the network key. Click on Submit.
c. Go back to Sentinel Keys and if the key doesn’t show up right
way, wait a couple of minutes then refresh the page. If the key
doesn’t show up at all, then try to ping the server through
command prompt and make sure the client machine is connected
to the same network as the server.
3. Launch the analysis software to see if it is able to pull a license
successfully.
a. If a 6007, 6050 error or any other 6000 licensing error pops up,
then proceed with modifying nethasp.ini file to force the client
machine to point to the server. Follow steps below.
b. A nethasp.ini file can be found in the Assidrv folder after the
analysis software has been installed.
c. For CADWorx user’s, you can find the nethasp.ini file in the
Utilities folder.
i. For CAESAR II C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph
CAS\CAESAR II 20xx\Assidrv
ii. For PV Elite C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph
CAS\PVElite 20xx\Assidrv
iii. For Tank C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph
CAS\TANK 20xx\Assidrv
iv. For CADWorx C:\CADWorx 2019\Utilities
d. Copy the nethasp.ini file and place it on the desktop. Open up the
nethasp.ini file and locate the follow lines.

e. Remove the two semicolon (;) in front of NH_SERVER_ADDR


and then replace the x’s with the IP address of the Server which
contains the network key.
f. Next save the nethasp.ini file and close it.
g. Move the nethasp.ini file to the root directory of the concerned
Intergraph CAS program.
i. For CAESAR II C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph
CAS\CAESAR II 20xx\
ii. For PV Elite C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph
CAS\PVElite 20xx\
iii. For Tank C:\Program Files (x86)\Intergraph
CAS\TANK 20xx\
iv. For CADWorx, it needs to go into the root directory of
the AutoCAD or BricsCAD application you are using
with CADWorx.

Example: If you are using CADWorx 2019 w/ AutoCAD
2019, it will need to go into the C:\Program
Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2019 location.
h. Open up the software and check to see if it is able to successfully
find a license.

Log File Generation

Method 1
This method allows users to obtain a log file from within the software.
1. Launch software and open ESL Data.
a. For CAESAR II, click on the Utilities tab and select View ESL.

b. For PV Elite, click on ESL tab and select Show Data.

c. For TANK, click on ESL tab and select View ESL.

d. For CADWorx, browse to C:\CADWorx 20XX\Utilities and launch the Pulse.exe,


then select Show ESL Data.
2. Once ESL Data is open, simply click on Generate Log File.

Notice the after clicking on Generate Log File, the logs will be written to a specific path
which is provided in the field as shown below.

3. After the log file is generated, click on Email Log File which will open an email and
attach the log files. Alternatively, the user can path over to the location where the log
files were written to and grab the *.txt and *.bny file and manually attach them in an
email to icaslicenserequests@intergraph.com.

Method 2
Follow the steps below to generate a log file directly on the server or client machine where the
HASP key is connected to.
1. Download the HASP Utility folder directly on the machine where the HASP key is
plugged into.

2. Extract the contents of the zip folder.
3. Open the HASP Utility folder and locate Pulse.exe. Right click on it and select Run as
Administrator.

4. Once the Pulse utility is open, click on Show ESL Data.

Note: If a 5001 error is prompted, make sure the ESL key is plugged into the machine
and that the LED light on the key is on. If it is not on, then install the HASP drivers by
running HASPUserSetup.exe. After the drivers are installed, the machine should
recognize the HASP key with the indication of the LED light on.
5. Click on Generate Log File.

Notice the after clicking on Generate Log File, the logs will be written to a specific path
which is provided in the field as shown below.

4. After the log file is generated, click on Email Log File which will open an email and
attach the log files. Alternatively, the user can path over to the location where the log
files were written to and grab the *.txt and *.bny file and manually attach them in an
email to icaslicenserequests@intergraph.com.

Note: If you are unable to generate the log file, take a screenshot of the ESL data as an
alternative.

Applying MM4 File
In the case that a MM4 file is provided to update the HASP key, save the MM4 file directly on
the machine where the HASP key is located in an easily accessible location. Follow the steps
below to apply a MM4 file to the HASP key.
1. Download the HASP Utility folder directly on the machine where the HASP key is
plugged into.

2. Extract the contents of the zip folder.
3. Open the HASP Utility folder and locate ESL_Image.exe and launch it.

4. Once ESL_Image.exe is open, select Browse and path over to where the MM4 file is
located. Select the MM4 file and then press Open.

5. The path of the MM4 file will be populated as shown below. Next click on OK.

6. The check boxes under status should become checked indicating the HASP license key
has been updated.
7. To verify the changes, launch Pusle.exe (provided in the HASP_Troubleshooting folder),
select Show ESL Data.

Applying Access Codes
In the case that an Access Code is provided to update the HASP key, follow the steps below.
1. Download the HASP Utility folder directly on the machine where the HASP key is
plugged into.

2. Extract the contents of the zip folder.
3. Open the HASP Utility folder and locate Pulse.exe. Right click on it and select Run as
Administrator.

4. Once the Pulse utility is open, click on Enter ESL ReAuthorization Codes.

Note: If a 5001 error is prompted, make sure the ESL key is plugged into the machine
and that the LED light on the key is on. If it is not on, then install the HASP drivers by
running HASPUserSetup.exe. After the drivers are installed, the machine should
recognize the HASP key with the indication of the LED light on.
5. Type in the Access Code as shown in the image below. In the case that multiple strings
of Access Codes are provided, simply type each string in each row. Press Ok.

6. To verify the changes, go back to Pulse and select Show ESL Data and review.
