God Is Found Only by Faith
True incident, which, upon reading, makes the heart ache for God?
Time: 1 pm.
The entire Tirupati city and Lord Srimannarayana himself were also sleeping and it was a very quiet
night that in this…
thug thug thug!
The huge bell in Tirupati temple just in front of the deity of Lord Venkateswara started vibrating on
its own and the whole Tirupati city stood up in amazement at that hour's sound.
The temple was completely closed at 12 o'clock in the night, then what is the sound of this bell?
It is not possible for any living person to stay in the temple after 12 nights, then who sang this bell?
No animal can enter the temple because all the doors are closed, so who is it?
The Chief Executive Officer of the temple, Shri PVRK Prasad had tears in his eyes as only he could
know that it is not just the bell, it is God who has given his signal for the success of my "Varuna
Jaap".
All the devotees of the Lord should read this incident with great reverence:-
In 1979, there was a severe drought in Tirupati region. The southeast monsoon had completely
failed. The Gogarbham reservoir (which is the main source of water supply in Tirupati) was almost
dry. Nearby wells were also almost dry.
Tirupati Trust officials were under great stress. The trust officials had expected that there would be
some rain due to the cyclonic winds of September-October, but November had arrived. Little by
little, only a month's worth of water was left. The Meteorological Department had made it clear that
there is no chance of rain.
Governments had raised their hands. There was no other option left in front of the trust except to
prohibit darshan in the temple. Darshan prohibition means to stop darshan-worship indefinitely.
The souls of the trustees themselves were cursed that how would they be able to tell the devotees
that darshan has been banned in the Devasthan due to lack of water? But there was no option left
but to stop the darshan.
The joy of the heretics and opponents of idolatry was at its peak. The atheists were laughing with
joy. News was coming in the newspapers that the God who cannot make arrangements for water
supply in his pilgrimage, how will he bless the Lord's devotee?
The followers of Sanatan Dharma were being openly called superstitious and Sanatan Dharma as
superstition.
The faithful devotees were crying, their tears could not stop!
Suddenly the panicked trustees got some wisdom and contacted 90 year old Sri Uppulari Ganapati
Shastri Ji Maharaj, a scholar of Vedas and scriptures and advisor of Tirupati Trust.
The trustees asked Maharajshree whether there is any remedy in the Vedas and Shastras for this
dire situation?
Shri Uppulari Ganapati Shastri Ji Maharaj replied that there is a solution to all the problems of this
world and supernatural in the Vedas and Shastras. Maharajshri advised the trustees to do "Varuna
Japa".
Maharajshri told the trustees that if the ritual is performed with full dedication, reverence and faith,
then only the ritual will be fruitful otherwise it will not. A paisa shortfall in reverence will make the
entire ritual a failure.
The trustees decided to chant "Varuna Jaap" and invitations were sent to scholars from far and
wide. The time was short and the goal was huge. Water supply was left for only ten days. On 1st
November, the time for chanting was out.
Then great problems surrounded the trustees. Most of the eminent scholars to whom the invitation
was sent expressed their inability to come. If someone's health was bad, then someone had died at
home (marana-defecation); Some had some problem, some had some problem.
Here these news were being published in newspapers with great prominence and making fun of
Sanatan Dharma, Dharmanuyays, Trust Mandal and Tirupati Balaji. The enemies of religion were
bent on proving Sanatan Dharma to be superstition.
There were tears in the eyes of the chairman of the trust, Mr. Prasad. He wept and prayed to Lord
Venkatesh from the heart. All the trustees and devotees also offered prayers.
Everyone prayed to the Lord – “Will Varuna not be able to chant? Will the temple visits be closed?
Will hundreds of millions of years of tradition disappear?
In the month of November, the doors of the temple were closed for night rest. There was no one in
the temple. All the worried devotees of the Lord were praying to the Lord weeping in their homes.
And then at 1 o'clock in the night this bell reverberated throughout the Tirumala mountain, as if the
Lord was telling everyone "Don't worry! I am with you!"
From the morning of the second day, favors started getting for "Varun Jaap". The scholars who had
expressed their inability to come, news of their achievement started coming. The Muhurta was
again fixed on 8th November. The scholars, who were turning away from the rituals, entered the
rituals with full force.
"Varuna Jaap" is the most difficult Vedic process lasting three days. It starts around three in the
morning. In this, some scholars had to chant "Mantras" by staying tight in Pushkarini Sarovar for
hours, some used to anoint the "Archa Deities" of God, some used to do "Yajya and Homa" and
some used to do "Vedapath". On the fourth day of this extremely difficult Vedic process of three
days, “Sahastra Kalashabhishekam” service was to be offered to Lord “Sri Venkateswara” in the form
of Poornahuti.
The rituals of three days were over. Suryanarayana was shining with full effulgence in the space.
There was not even a trace of clouds.
Devotees of the Lord were terribly disappointed and were praying unarmed to the Lord in their
hearts.
The "Archa Deities" of the Lord were being taken to the Srivari temple after taking a bath in the
Pushkarini lake.
Secular journalists were standing around watching the spectacle and laughing and surrounded by
heretics discussing that “Rain from rituals? Where does this happen? What kind of superstition is
this? "What kind of hypocrisy is this?"
The chairman of the trust, Shri Prasad Saheb and the trustees were thinking in their mind that
"What crime have we committed?" , "Why did the Lord reject our call?" Now, what face shall we
show to the world and to ourselves?”
Just then two or three drops of water fell on Shri Prasad's forehead.
They felt that there would be drops of sweat and kept on moving towards the temple in utter
despair, but again another five to six thick drops fell!
When I raised my head, I saw clouds filled with black water in the sky and there was a thunderous
lightning!
In two or three seconds the torrential downpour started! Due to such rain, all the people had to run
towards the temple carrying the deities of God, yet they were all drenched badly from head to toe.
Remember, it rained only in the mountain region of Tirupati, not a drop of water rained around.
The Gogarbham reservoir and the nearby wells started overflowing. The engineers immediately
came and told that there is no concern about water supply for the whole year.
Winds started blowing in the face of secular journalists and enemies of religion and they started
peeping side by side. People's eyes were torn apart. Bhakt Mandal woke up with cheers.
This incident happened in front of everyone and thousands of journalists and eyewitnesses are
proof of this but this thing was suppressed.[1]
With whom such a big victory of "Sanatan Dharma" is never sung on television, cinema or social
media.
Lord Venkateswara Srinivasa is not an idol but is the real Sriman Narayan himself. Hearing the call
of his devotees, he continues to run even today. If the devotee calls from the heart, it is correct.
We must practice meditation so that we can calm our mind and focus on God.
