Introductory Message
Welcome to TLE/TVL - ICT (Animation)

The Learning Activity Sheet is a product of the collaborative efforts of the

Schools Division of Iloilo and DepEd Regional Office VI - Western Visayas through
the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD). This is developed to
guide the learning facilitators (teachers, parents, and responsible adults) in helping
the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum.

The Learning Activity Sheet is self-directed instructional materials aimed to

guide the learners in accomplishing activities at their own pace and time using the
contextualized resources in the community. This will also assist the learners in
acquiring the lifelong learning skills, knowledge and attitudes for productivity and
employment.

For learning facilitator:

The TLE/TVL - ICT (Animation) Activity Sheet will help you facilitate the
teaching-learning activities specified in each Most Essential Learning Competency
(MELC) with minimal or no face-to-face encounter between you and learner. This will
be made available to the learners with the references/links to ease the independent
learning.

For the learner:

The TLE/TVL - ICT (Animation) Activity Sheet is developed to help you

continue learning even if you are not in school. This learning material provides you
with meaningful and engaging activities for independent learning. Being an active
learner, carefully read and understand the instructions then perform the activities and
answer the assessments. This will be returned to your facilitator on the agreed
schedule.

problems/errors encountered

II. Background Information for Learners

In 1900’s animators placed a chart on the edge of their drawings to

indicate the different spacing, and timing of each action. This chart was used
by the animators as their guide in animating the objects and to make the
movements of action smoothly.

The figure above shows the sample time chart. Time charts are used by
the animators to determine the spacing and speed of a moving object or
character. These are usually placed at the corner of an animation frame.
Time chart is composed of key drawings, in-between, breakdown or passing
position.
Key Drawings are also known as keys or key poses. It represents the
extreme or major actions of the character or object in the scene. These are
the first drawings drawn by the animators and represented by a circled
number symbol.

Extreme drawings are key drawings or pose that is most exaggerated or

dynamic point of a particular point

Breakdown drawing is indicated by underlined number, triangle, or a

numbered bracket. It is a pose between two key poses that better shows the
movement and help the key frame animator describe the action to in-
betweeners.

In- between drawings are secondary positions that fill the gaps between
key positions and breakdown position. These are represented only by a
number. The person responsible for the in-between drawings called in-
betweeners.
