    Our group’s campaign advocacy video talks about a summary of child


    pornography. It is a film that discusses the causes and effects of the said issue, along
    with a news article related to it and our civic action. Our video is relevant to our current
    society because this issue became more serious amidst the pandemic, and that the
    victims of this issue are people below 18, and come to think of it, not much of them
    know the serious consequences behind it.
    This video shows my group members discussing about the causes and effects of
    child pornography. This issue has been active even way before the pandemic, with the
    DSWD and youth groups trying to intervene with this issue and provide a safe space for
    us children. However, this issue became worse as some parents are struggling
    financially amidst the pandemic, and they resort to their children and making them do
    obscene acts or upload lewd pictures in order to be sold and for them to earn money to
    help them survive financially. This is common in families of class D and E as they do not
    have enough to feed their large families. This in effect, causes some of the children to
    be traumatized or to do it because of pressure from their parents. The parents which are
    supposed to protect their children, now puts them in danger. After we talk about the
    issue, we then input our civic action. It’s basically answering the question, “What can
    you do to help stop this issue from getting worse?” Our civic action is aimed at seminars
    that will help educate the parents based on financial matters, and on how to support
    their children without the need of exposing them to danger. This is to ensure that every
    child will always have a safe space.
    In the video we made, self-explanatory, we didn’t have much faults because we
    were prepared for this video. We knew our parts very well. Other classmates say our
    video is very meaningful, as this issue is trending now. It is also straight to the point,
    with all the necessary information to prove its existence, causes and effects. Some said,
    that we have a mood changer, that fits the tone as we discuss the issue. In my opinion,
    we have a few points for improvement. First one is, some of us are just speaking
    monotone, with no action, emphasis or feeling. This makes it a bit harder for the listener
    as they may not know how will the reader emphasize a particular word or line he is
    talking about. Next one, will be that not all of us members look directly at the camera
    when speaking. It is very important to make eye contact, especially when speaking to
    someone, or to the camera for video recording, This is a must, especially when dealing
    with other people, or in business.
    In conclusion, our video has successfully tackled about this serious issue on child
    pornography, and taught us that how much of an effect can it cause on us children, and
    that it will simply just worsen the issue if we push through with doing it. Here we can say
    that child pornography is never the solution to a family’s financial burden. There are
    many other ways to overcome financial burdens. Our film motivates parents and
    guardian to seek their child’s safety and well-being first before pushing through with
    their own desires. This is to help provide a safe space for both children and adults.
    Despite us being children, we can help overcome this issue in our own little ways, by
    educating our own family first, and spread awareness of this to our local neighborhood,
    and working with the government to help address this issue.
