Subject: GCS Obsolescence on QST30 G drive products
Cummins Power Generation Announces:
In line with the Cummins G-Drive policy of continual product improvement, we are pleased to
confirm the following change to all QST30 GCS products.
Summary
This announcement is provide confirmation of the product change for below affected CoolPac and
Stanfast G Drive Models, currently offered with GCS control system.
a) QST30-G3
b) QST30-G4
c) QST30-G5
Introduce:
GCS Module is obsoleted and replaced with the Power Gen Interface (PGI) System.
Detail of Announcement
- All the current QST30 GCS (dominion) ratings are retired from our engine manufacturing
facility in Seymour (USA) after September 2013.
- QST 30 products will be offered with PGI controls only.
- Our G-Drive customers are requested to start transition from the current GCS to the PGI
controllers and anticipate transition to PGI controls with immediate effect.

The QST30-G3/4/G5 Stanfast with PGI can be ordered by Distributors directly from the engine
manufacturing facility, or they can be ordered in CoolPac specifications from the Cummins
Power Generation Kent (CPGK) facility in the UK.

Distributors can specify G-Drive engines to order directly from the engine plant by using the
standard PRIC as a reference.
