You need cable part number 3163156 to connect to the GCS controler, it connects
directly to the engine from the PC, no inline adapter!!. If you buy one from oth er than Cummins, make sure that it is the newest version, after 2003. The origin al version of the cable, (for the original QST30 with a single ECM mounted at th e rear of the V, pre 2003), was missing a resistor required for communication wi th the GCS controller. For PCC 3200 controller and later you need cable part number 3163768 For PCC 1300/1301 you need cable part number 0338-4590
