    There are two ways to setup your DSE850. This document details the ‘easy plug and play’ method. To
    Belden 9841. setup the ‘advanced’ way you will need to change your PC network settings. Details of this are contained
    (DSE Part Number 016-041) in the DSE850 operator manual.

    ‘Plug and Play’ setup

    Visit www.deepseaplc.com and select DSE DOWNLOADS to download the


    latest version of the DSE850 Config Tool Setup Wizard and install the software
    on your PC

    Ethernet connection to
    PC, LAN, Router, ADSL
    modem etc

    Connect your DSE850 to your PCs LAN (ethernet) port or your company network, and connect a DC
    supply to the DSE850 as shown on the back of this leaflet.

    Start the DSE850 Config Tool Setup Wizard (if you haven’t already) and click the SCAN button. Any
    DSE850s ‘found’ on your network are displayed in the Setup Wizard window.

    Setting up the DSE850 network settings Use the SETUP | MODBUS page to configure the settings to suit connection
    to DSE controllers :
    To configure the DSE850 for correct operation on your network you may need to consult your I.T.
    department or network manager for help with the following settings :

    It is recommended to
    have a fixed IP
    address.

    Leave Enter ‘admin’ the first time. To change the


    ‘hostname’ password, enter your new password, click
    blank! ‘Change Password’ and re-enter your
    password into the ‘New password’ box.

    Once these settings


    have been entered,
    click the ‘Set’ button.

    Use the CONFIGURATION | DEVICES page to setup the DSE850 with the
    settings of the connected DSE controllers :
    Connecting to the DSE850 for the first time

    After you have setup the DSE850


    network settings you can connect to it
    using your usual web browser. For
    instance, open internet explorer and
    enter the IP address of your DSE850.

    (Supported browsers are Internet


    Explorer 6 & 7, Mozilla Firefox). You are now ready to monitor the OVERVIEW of your system :
    If your PC network is correctly setup, Click on an individual generator or transfer switch to look in detail at that
    the login screen will appear. controller.

    Enter the username and password (both


    ‘admin’ by default) and click the ‘Login’
    button to continue.
