General Instructions:

i. The question paper comprises four sections - A, B, C and D. You are to attempt all the sections.
There are total 36 questions in the question paper.

ii. All questions are compulsory.

iii. All questions of Section-A and B are to be attempted separately. Question numbers 1 to 20 in
Section-A are one mark question. These questions contain multiple choice questions, very short
answer questions, and assertion-reason type questions. They are to be answered in one word or in
one sentence.

iv. Question numbers 21 to 26 in Section- B are two marks questions. These are to be answered in 30
to 50 words each.

v. Question numbers 27 to 33 in Section-c are three marks questions. These are to be answered in
about 50 to 80 words each.

vi. Question numbers 34 to 36 in Section-D are 5 marks questions. These are to be answered in 80 to
120 words each.

vii. There are no overall choices. However, internal choices have been provided in some questions. A
student has to attempt only one of the alternatives in such questions.

viii. Whenever necessary, neat and properly labelled diagrams should be drawn.

Copper sulphate crystal contains water of crystallisation when the crystal is heated the water is removed

20. Resistance is the property of a conductor to resist the flow of charges through it. The current which

A brown coloured residue B was formed along with evolution of two gases with burning smell of

b) Transfer the following into chemical equation and balance it.
