Programming a new key into 2000 Zafira (z16xe)

Step 1

I ordered my blank key from EBAY, £8 with transponder, make sure you get the correct
key, look at the blade and make sure it looks exactly the same, I took mine to car boot
sale and got it cut for £2, once its cut, make sure the transponder is inside,

Step 2

Connect Opcom to laptop and then connect it to the diagnostic port under the handbrake.

Step 3

Insert the new key and turn the ignition on, you will see the spanner light flashing but
don’t worry about this, it will be sorted later on in the guide,

Open up the software, I used 100219a software for programming the key, once open you
will see a screen like this
Then select diagnostics, then your car, year and body module, mine was
zafira/2001/body, once the body module is selected then you will see a screen like this

Step 4

Select IMMOBILISER II, Opcom will then connect to the immobiliser module and you
will see options down the right hand side, one of which being programme, Select
programme and then go to security code and enter the code from you car’s pass card,
this will then allow you to enter all other parts of programming, you should see a screen
like this
Step 5

Select program transponder keys and you will see this

Step 6

Basically just follow the onscreen instructions that the program prompts you to do, this
involves turning the ignition on and off a couple of times, Here is a few photo’s I took
when programming was taking place, sorry they are not a bit clearer but I didn’t want to
do screenshots just in case it interfered with the programming,
