Training (InSeT) on Retooling Teachers’ Strategic Planning and Management of
Teaching and Learning Process Aligned in the Basic Education Learning
Continuity Plan (BE-LCP), December 14-16, 2020 (Monday to Wednesday)
(8:00 a.m.-12:00 n.n.) via Google Meet Platform in relevance with the Learning
Continuity Plan (LCP) of the school to provide training and other professional interventions
to teachers in the New Normal.
The activity aims to:

a. strengthen teachers’ ability to translate curriculum content into learning activities that
are relevant to learners and based on the principles of effective teaching and learning;
b. enhance teachers’ skills in applying their professional knowledge to plan and design a
well-structured and sequenced lessons; and
c. foster professional collaborative spirit among school heads, and teachers

Rationale As an institution of learning, the Department of
Education (DepEd) works to protect and promote the
right of Filipinos to quality basic education that is
equitable, culture-based, and complete, and allows
them to realize their potential and contribute
meaningfully to building the nation. The investment of
the DepEd in the development of human potential is a
commitment it makes not only to its learners but also its
teachers. Towards this end, the DepEd fully supports
the continuing professional development of its teaching
personnel based on the principle of lifelong learning and
the view of the teaching profession as one that
“requires teachers expert knowledge and specialized
skills, acquired and maintained through rigorous and
continuing study” (UNESCO 1966).
DepEd Memorandum OUCI-2020-307, re
Suggested Measures to Foster “Academic Ease” During
the Covid-19 Pandemic, the In-service Training (INSET)
is scheduled on December 14-19, 2020. Letter i of the
said DepEd Memorandum states, “The week of
December 14-19, 2020 will be devoted to In-Service
Training (InSeT which may include MELCs-Based
Quarter 2 planning for Distance Learning Delivery
Modalities (DLDM).
In adherence to these memorandum, Habay
Elementary School needs to prepare the school

training on translating curriculum content into learning
activities that are relevant to learners and based on the
principles of effective teaching and learning, building
strong bond of professional collaborative spirit among
school heads, teachers, and the community as a whole
in the New Normal.
Program or Course Description This program is a 3-day, 12 hours webinar that
deals in retooling teachers of Habay Elementary School
on Strategic Planning and Management of Teaching and
Learning Process Aligned in the Basic Education
Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) and to deliver
content more engagingly in this “new normal.”
