R.A. 7394, or the Consumer Act of the Philippines prohibit “No Return, No Exchange” in any documents as
evidence of sale, or anywhere in the store or business establishment.

Consumers have the right to demand remedies for: Goods with HIDDEN defect; Defective or imperfect service.

If an item bought from store Y turns out to be more expensive than a similar item in store X, can the customer
return the item and ask for a refund?
* No. While consumers have the right to choose and make a canvass of prices, once a sale in done and the
product has no defect, one cannot return the goods nor ask for a refund.

Can a store exercise only a policy of exchange but not refund?


* The store/seller is required to remedy the defect in the quality of goods. EXCHANGE ONLY is allowed as
long as it’s done within a reasonable period of time.

If the defect is due to mishandling on the part of the buyer, can he/she still demand an exchange or refund?
* No. The prohibition covers only hidden defects, shoddy goods or imperfect service.

If after buying a certain item, a customer changes his/her mind and wants to return said item. Can he/she get a
refund? Exchange?
* No, consumers CANNOT return/exchange the goods (no hidden defect) because of a change of mind.

Can a buyer return defective goods without the official receipt?


* The official receipt is the best proof of purchase. Unless a customer have other proof of the purchase.
At Rimax PC, there’s no other proof except the receipt, so kindly keep it.

Can a store impose the condition that merchandise can only be exchanged once?
* No, because merchandise can be exchanged as many times as long as the product have hidden defect.

...the consumer may elect to have the goods repaired or its purchase price refunded by the warrantor. In case the
repair...work must be made...within thirty (30) days...however, may be extended by conditions which are
beyond the control of the warrantor or his representative. In case the refund of the purchase price is elected, the
amount directly attributable to the use of the consumer prior to the discovery of the non-conformity shall be
deducted.
ALWAYS INSPECT PRODUCTS CAREFULLY UPON PURCHASE.

LIABILITY: In no event will our company or its suppliers be liable to the client for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental
damages including any lost profits / savings arising out of the use of our product. Compatibility is user’s responsibility.

CARRY-IN WARRANTY ONLY. Customer shoulder all shipping costs. ALSO APPLIES TO DELIVERED GOODS.
NO ON-SITE SERVICES. NO LENDING OF BACKUP UNITS.

NO RECEIPT, NO EXCHANGE. Receipt is the only proof of purchase honored. Please keep it.

NO CASH REFUND. Items with hidden defects will be remedied. In case no replacement is available, a credit note will be issued.

EXCHANGE:
* Exchanges within (2) business day is allowed. If there’s a sudden price change, the value to be used is the LOWER PRICE.
* Items that are exchanged outside the two-day period shall be penalized a restocking fee of 15% within the first week, an additional
of 5% per week for the following weeks. (e.g. 20% on the second week, 25% on the third week and so on).
* Only items with complete original boxes, manuals & accessories in PRISTINE (brand new) condition accepted.
* The company reserves the right to decline any return or exchange when deemed necessary.

WARRANTY:
* Warranty varies with items (Ranging from 12mo, 1mo to NO warranties). ASK to be sure.
* Defective items are subject for pullout, NOT replaced immediately (usually within 4-8 weeks). We will not be liable for any delays.
* It is the SOLE discretion of the distributor to REPAIR or REPLACE WITH A USED BUT WORKING UNIT.

OUTRIGHT REPLACEMENT: For some items ONLY. ONLY if they are returned WITHIN 5 DAYS from date of purchase.
* Only items with complete original boxes, manuals & accessories in PRISTINE (brand new) condition accepted.

CANNOT BE EXCHANGED. NO WARRANTY:


* Consumable items (such as ink) that have been opened.
* Software & software-related service (virus, installation, backup etc.)
* Files inside defective hard drives. (BACKUP OFTEN TO PREVENT DATA LOSS)

CANNOT BE EXCHANGED. WITH WARRANTY:


* LCD with 1-4 stuck / dead pixels. Warranty applies to any other defect except pixels.
* Special orders that are not normally stocked.
* Items that show signs of use (missing protective plastic / tapes, visible dust inside, hairline scratch, printer with opened ink-pack).
* Installed processor (thermal paste used). Be sure to check if your motherboard & processor are compatible.

WARRANTY VOID:
* Items with physical scratch / damage or tampered warranty stickers.
* Use of third party parts / consumables. (i.e. Using third party HSF on the processor. Using non-original ink on a printer.)
* Improperly maintained product (i.e. Rust, Dust clogging the fan).
* Items used with unapproved products (i.e. Cheap/under-rated AVR/PSU can cause capacitors to bloat.)
* Items that arrive in unapproved / inadequate packing.

* Repaired items unclaimed for 30 days will be charged a storage fee of P50/day.
* Repaired items unclaimed for 90 days will be forfeited/disposed.
