Lab Report Instructions:
(This instruction box is to be deleted before submission of Lab report)
Before starting on your lab report, please follow the following steps:
1) Watch the “Lab Video Resources” in your course shell.
2) Follow the instructions listed in the file “EET110 Unit-1 Lab - Instructions”
3) Complete this lab report. Upon completion, you will submit only this lab report to your
instructor.
Abstract
Introduction
What is an Introduction?
In your own words, explain the reason for performing the experiment and give a concise
summary of the theory involved, including any mathematical detail relevant to later
discussion in the report. State the objectives of the lab as well as the overall background of
the relevant topic.
Procedures
Part 1: Series-Parallel Circuit in Multisim
Download the Multisim File EET_110_Unit_4_Lab_Series_Parallel_Circuits.
Calculate values for voltage, current, resistance, and power for the series-parallel circuit.
Follow the steps detailed in the lab template to collect voltage and current measurements
for the series-parallel circuit after closing each switch.
3
Verify Kirchhoff’s current law for the circuit.
Verify Voltage divider for series portions of the circuit
Verify power calculations for the series-parallel circuit
4
Table 1. Tabulated Results for Part 1
Required Screenshots
Take screenshots of each circuit in part 1 after the circuit simulation. Be sure to include the multimeters
in the screenshots.
All screenshots of Multisim circuits must contain the date and time from the system tray.
Alternatively, you may choose to include the File Information page in Multisim. However, the file
information sheet must not obscure the circuit and test equipment.

Conclusion
(This instruction box is to be deleted before submission of Lab report)
What is a Conclusion?
This section should reflect your understanding of the experiment conducted. Important
points to include are a brief discussion of your results, an interpretation of the actual
experimental results as they apply to the objectives of the experiment set out in the
introduction should be given. Also, discuss any problems encountered and how they were
resolved.
