    About Myself and My Family.

    My name is Igor. I live in a small town in Moscow Region. Though I was not born here, I have
    lived in this town all my life. I live with my parents. Our family is not big, there are three in our
    family. My mother and my father are both teachers. So, no wonder, I have decided to follow
    their career. We are fond of English, as you see, we have common interests. My mother is a good
    housewife, she looks after all of us carefully, she cleans the house regularly, she cooks tasty
    dishes. We are very thankful to her and try to help her as much as we can.

    We are a friendly family and we like to spend time together. In summer we often go for picnics.
    When the sun shines and there isn’t a cloud in the sky, we go to a lovely spot by the river. We
    take food with us and spend the whole day basking in the sun and swimming in the river. In early
    autumn we go to the forest to gather mushrooms and pick up berries. In winter we go to ski or
    just go out and play snowballs outdoors.

    On weekdays we are all busy at the daytime and get together in the evening. Father comes home
    rather late. We wait for him, and when he comes we sit for supper. Father comfortably settles in
    the armchair and reads a newspaper or a magazine. If there is an interesting programme on TV
    we all watch TV, then discuss what we have seen. We like these quiet family evenings together
    after day’s work. We are a happy family, we love each other and we are ready to support and
    help each other.

    Meet My Family.

    Hello! My name is David Johnson. My friends call me Dave. I am from Toronto, Canada. Our
    family is very big. I have a mother and a father, a grandmother and a grandfather, an elder
    brother and a younger sister. I also have two uncles and two aunts, two cousins, a niece and a
    nephew. My father is a bank president, he works very much. My mother is a doctor, but she is
    not working right now. My grandfather was a company director, now he is retired. He is a very
    interesting person. He is 75 years old, and he speaks three languages. He plays the piano and the
    trumpet. And he has a great sense of humour. My grandmother was a secretary, she is also
    retired now. My elder brother is a University graduate, he is an architect. My younger sister is a
    pupil, she goes to a secondary school. One of my uncles is a lawyer, the other is an engineer. As
    for my aunts, one of them is a teacher, she teaches French. The other is a nurse, she works in a
    hospital. My cousins’ names are Mary and Andrew. They are both fond of sports. Mary’s
    favourite sport is tennis, Andrew’s favourite sport is football. My niece and nephew are small,
    they both go to an elementary school. We are a friendly family and get on well with each other.
