My favorite season
A year has four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The season I
like the most is winter. I like winter because I can wear cute sweaters, and I
can sleep in a warm cotton blanket. In winter, the weather is very cold. The
trees have lost all their leaves, leaving only branches. I like to sit and eat
grilled corn, roasted sweet potatoes, and grilled eggs in the winter. In the
middle of the cold weather, holding grilled corn, roasted sweet potatoes and
grilled eggs in your hands is wonderful. On weekends in winter, my friends
and I often go camping, we light a campfire and grill food. Camping was
fun. I like eating ice cream in winter, because in the cold weather, eating an
ice cream is a great feeling. I really like winter and like winter activities.
2. My family
Today I'm happy to tell you about my family. My family is a nuclear family.
My family has 4 people: parents, older sister and me. My father is tall and
white. My mother is the same, but when standing next to my father, my
mother is a little shorter than my father. My sister is tall and beautiful. I am
the youngest person in the house. I'm short and small, but I look pretty cute.
My father is a soldier, and my mother is a teacher. My sister is 23 years old
and has worked, and is currently working as an accountant. I am 2 years
younger than my sister. I'm a 4th year student and I'm also doing an
internship. On weekends, we like to clean the house and cook together. We
often buy our own groceries from the supermarket and cook dishes that
everyone in the family likes. Our whole family always spends weekends
together. I love and am very happy with my family.
3. My hobbies
I have many different hobbies. In my free time, I like to go sightseeing on
sunny days, I like to watch movies on rainy days, and I like to fly kites on
windy days. I like cycling. I often go cycling in my free time. While cycling,
I can look at the sky, the scenery, and everything around me. It helps me
relieve pressure after stressful working hours, helping me see the world in
many different ways. I also like growing plants and flowers. Especially the
small and lovely plants. I take care of them and look at them every day. They
have vibrant or gentle colors, those are the colors that help me feel like my
life has more beautiful colors. I hope in the future I can find and grow many
more beautiful plants.
4. My hometown
Ba Vi, my hometown is a peaceful countryside. It is located outside Hanoi
city center. This place has majestic natural beauty such as Ba Vi mountain,
Tan Vien mountain, Dong Mo lake. Ba Vi Mountain, a place with poetic
natural beauty and wild sunflowers in late October and early November.
This is a place that many people choose as a camping and picnic spot on
weekends and other occasions. celebration for family and friends. Tan Vien
Mountain stands tall like a giant protecting generations. Dong Mo Lake is
blue and peaceful like a giant mirror reflecting rows of cool green trees.
What I like most is the afternoons with friends going out to the fields to fly
kites and breathe the fresh air of the mountains and forests. Ba Vi people are
simple, gentle, always ready to help each other. My hometown is
increasingly innovated, but still retains its traditional beauty. I love my
homeland very much.
5. My best friend
Let me introduce to you, my best friend. My best friend's name is Thao. She
is short but kind. She has long straight dyed red hair and black eyes. She has
a round face with a high nose. Thao is very funny. She likes to tell jokes and
make people laugh. She likes watching movies and reading stories. She
wants to become a screenwriter in the future. We were college classmates
and lived together. Every day, we go to school together. After school, we
watch movies together. Sometimes we go cycling around West Lake and
watch the sunset in the afternoon. In the evening, we do homework together.
On weekends, we go to our homes and each of us does different activities.
We are very happy when we are together. I hope we will always be as happy
as we are now.
6. My house
Today I want to tell you about my house. My house is located in a peaceful
countryside, next to a deep green field. My house is small but beautiful. My
house has 2 floors, and 6 rooms. The first floor has the living room and
kitchen. The 2nd floor has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. In the living room
there is a small TV, a set of table and chairs. I often watch TV and chat with
my family here. In the kitchen, there is a large refrigerator located next to
the cupboard. The sink is next to the stove. There is a square table and 6
chairs in the middle of the room. My mother often cooks and we have dinner
here together. In the bathroom, there is a mirror, shower, sink, toilet and
washing machine. My parents' bedroom is bigger than my bedroom. I love
my house very much.
