POSITION: QA/QC Welding & Piping Inspector

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the quality requirement of the fabrication, construction and installation activities, are implemented in
accordance with approved project documents.
• Ensure that Contractor, Sub- Contractor and vendors have the required competent resources implant internationally
acceptable practices and delivery of a product in compliance to Project quality requirements.
• Monitor all site and fabrication yard welding activities and ensure that all welding joints were welded as per approved
WPS’s.
• Attend all PQR‘s mechanical testing to ensure complete implementation of standard requirements.

• Witness all contractor‘s welders qualification tests and evaluate their visual and NDT results.
• Witness all site or fabrication yard NDT daily activities, carry out interpretation for test results and evaluate the
finding outs.
• Monitor the stage (in-Process) inspection of steel structure fabrication, Piping , Static Equipments(air receiver, Blow
down tank and silos etc.,) and top side facilities at contractor fabrication promises and verify the product conformity to
standard, Project Specification and International code /Standard
• Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project.
• To check, inspect and test incoming welding and construction materials to ensure they meet project specification
requirements.
• Coordinate with contractor regarding punch list items and construction modification / rectification. Participate in
resolution of technical queries raised by contractors regarding engineering design conflicts and installation problems
• Prepare pre and post punch of piping, hydro test, commissioning works and different QC activities.
• Report daily to QA /QC Manager and advise him on the contractor compliance to contract procedure and standards
and any matter effecting quality.
• Identification of positive or negative progress including non-conformances and feedback to QA /QC Manager,
Construction Site manager or construction supervisor.
• Co coordinating. Quality audit and take appropriate corrective and preventive action for the closing out the NCR and
CQAR’s.
• Review and Approval of the contractor in the compilation of the handover and test packs together with all as-built
documentation

POSITION : QA/QC Piping & welding Inspector

Responsibilities:

• To conduct fit up and dimension inspections(Material line class, Color Code, Internal Cleaning of the pipe,
Orientation of the welding horizontal seam, bevel angle, root gap Etc.) as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and to
provide technical guidance for welding sequence and distortion control.
• Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project.
• To check, inspect and test incoming welding and construction materials to ensure they meet project specification
requirements.
• Prepare pre and post punch of piping, hydro test, commissioning works and different QC activities.
• Welding Visual Inspection and check defects by NDT methods (UT, PT, MT,) with respect to the relevant codes WPS
and PQR.
• To monitor Welder performance and conduct visual inspections of welds and repairs of welds in accordance with
Company procedures and international codes of practice.
• Co- ordinate with sub contractor for NDT activities like RT, UT.
• To monitor the construction process from all aspects to ensure performance meets job quality and design requirements
in accordance with Company procedures and international standards. To coordinate with clients to undertake Procedure
Qualification Tests (PQT) and inspections of prepared test specimens and witness destructive tests.
• To identify and prepare Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & PQR for jobs as per project specifications and
verify Welders meet PQR requirements.
• Welding inspection before & after welding to verify the correct applicable requires procedures for the welding of weld
joints piping, Pipe line & steel structure.
• To collate all relevant documentation for the job and apply the data to the creation of a Test Pack to undertake pre-
hydro test inspection activity.
• To prepare all equipment punches lists and verify all items are in place during punch list activity.
• Witness of Hydro tests and Pneumatic tests of Piping.
• Co- ordinate with sub contractor for NDT activities like radiographic testing, magnet particle testing, Ultrasonic
testing and penetrant testing.
• Prepare and Maintaining of all inspection report and related documents in QA/ QC department.
• Pre Commissioning verification for construction and installation activities.
