The document discusses a dance competition that is part of an annual sports event. It features different dance categories and styles for both juveniles and juniors. Various people like hosts, judges, and organizers are involved in coordinating and judging the competition.

There are juvenile and junior categories for both Latin dances like chachacha, samba, rumba, jive and Standard/Modern dances like waltz, tango, quickstep. Latin dances showcase passion while standard dances have quick intricate movements.

The hosts welcome guests and officials and introduce the participants and judges. The tournament managers and adjudicators coordinate and evaluate the performances respectively. Coaches train and support the dancers.

Josh: A battle of technique!

Jen: An exhibition of poise and carriage.

Josh: Who among the dancers will pave way to the CAVRAA representing the SDO
Isabela? There is only one way to find it out.

Jen: Live from the Tumauini Cultural and Sports Center, this is

Both: 2019 Palarong Panlalawigan Dance Competition.

Josh: Good morning ladies and gentlemen!

Jen: Dios ta umma nikamu ngaming!

Josh: Naragsak nga bigat yu. Goodmorning Jenieva! For the first time in our history, we
shall be hosting one of the highlights of the 2019 Palarong Panlalawigan. I feel nervous this
time considering a huge spectators.

Jen: Goodmorning too, Josh! The feeling is mutual. Actually, from the very beginning
nervousness wrapped up the whole me. Why? Your invitation of hosting this affair with
you was really instant. I hope we can do it!

Josh: Yes, we can do it Jen. I am pretty sure this would be a wonderful and exciting day for
everyone of us who are gathered here only to witness splendid performances coming from
our dancers in the SDO Isabela.

Jen: Precisely Josh! We wanted to see bombastic performances. I presumed the coaches are
also nervous and eager to know who will be proclaimed the best of the best dancers in the
Dancesport here in SDO Isabela.

Josh: So are you now excited?

Jen: Definitely Josh! I am very much excited.

Josh: So, let’s no longer prolong the agony of waiting.

Jen: To formally commence the program, let us all stand for a nurturing prayer to be led
by Ms Miss Sharlene Dagman afterwhich will be the singing of the Phil National Anthem to
be conducted by Ms Arlyn M Paguyo.

Josh: In this juncture, may we all welcome with a roaring clap of hands to Hon Ruth
Bautista, Sanguniang Bayan Member of the Municipality of Tumauini.

Jen: Dancesport Competition is one of the highlights of this year’s Palarong Panlalawigan.
Dancesport offers unique advantages. It is not only a rhythmical exercise that adds life,
graceful muscular movements but it is also a group recreation. A girl who has learned to
be a good ballroom dancer never fades into a wall flower. A boy who can dance is spared
from many agonies of a teenage self-conciousness. Children who dance well are popular,
ones instilled , those ingredients of a good manners are never forgotten. Thus, dancesport
offers more than mere steps, it includes charm of manners and consideration of other.

Josh: This year, we want to return to the basics of rhythmic sports to instil discipline in
creative and artistic ways. Moreover, the two categories of dance sport competition are
Latin American Dance and Modern Standard Dance. Latin Dances originated in Latin
America which features sensual expression of love and passion whereas standard dances,
are social dances which show quick steps and difficult poses.

Jen: Ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourselves as we witness the parade of the dancers
together with their coaches and the tournament managers.

Thus, this dance evolved from Mambo and has its origins in the religious ritual dances of
