OLACABS.

Introduction:
Agile methodologies are approaches to product development that are aligned with the values and
principles described in the Agile Manifesto for software development. Agile methodologies aim
to deliver the right product, with incremental and frequent delivery of small chunks of
functionality, through small cross-functional self-organizing teams, enabling frequent customer
feedback and course correction as needed.
Agile Methodology is a practice that promotes continuous iteration of development and testing
throughout the software development lifecycle of the project. In the Agile model in software
testing, both development and testing activities are concurrent, unlike the Waterfall model. Agile
culture benefits get recognized by companies that adopt the methodology, more and more
companies are planning to start the agile revolution.
However, as Agile is a mindset that needs to be understood and put in practice every day, the
Agile shift needs to impact and be synchronized with the company’s culture to be fully embraced
into the daily practices.

About the Software Application:


Olacabs was found in January 2011, by two IIT Bombay alumni Bhavish Aggarwal (CEO) and
Ankit Bhati( Chief Technical Officer) and presently based on Bangalore.
Name has been derived from a Spanish word – Hola means Hello.
Customers can access Ola on the web, through the mobile app or through customer service
centre.
OLA’s GPS enabled mobile app for the driver helps receive bokkings requests from customers
in the vicinity and navigate to the customers’s pickup point with utmost ease.

Strategy and execution:


At EMBA PRO we specialize in Agile Project Management techniques. By applying Agile
management techniques to the problem statement in Olacabs: we can formulate broad range of
solutions such as product and service innovation in Strategy & Execution industry, business
model innovation, streamlining of operations, and fine tuning the upstream and downstream
value chains.
Agile Management will enable senior executives in “ Olacabs: brings innovations faster to
market, lower risk of product launch, and provide opportunities for the team to make changes
based on the customer feedback.
Roles:
Drive multiple large-scale technical projects, working cross-functionally with product manager,
designers, software development team, business operations, marketing, legal and external
partners across organization to guarantee a smooth and efficient product delivery.

- Defines and implements cross-team processes to improve efficiency and delivery (SDLC),
defines metrics to measure and monitor efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and drives
adoption across organization. - Monitors and tracks complex programs effectively by providing
periodic updates to technical, non-technical teams and Sr.Management.

Ola has long experience in large scale scrum since 2007. By introducing several "Agile factories"
at IKEA, successful agile implementations and a lot of business value delivered on 100MEUR
sizes of projects.
Results:
Ola has also successfully coached and helped other organisations and projects. Except
certifications on Scrum Alliance, Ola is also certified less practioneer.
Ola believes in the true agile values with focus on each team member’s skills and attitudes before
different processes. The background from sports leadarship is very helpful and the synergies on
how to create winning teams there.
