A. Introduction
A sport tourism has been flourished nowadays. In the future, sport tourism is expected to
become one of the prime movers in the sector of tourism in Indonesia. It is because
Indonesia’s recognition of the world’s sport tourism with its natural wealth and various
cultures. As we all know, many sport-tourism events have been successfully held in
Indonesia. Hopefully, the event will become an effective promotion site for Indonesian
tourism to foreign countries. Moreover, various regions in Indonesia are also competing to
develop their respective sport tourism to attract tourists.
Sport tourism has become a new tourism trend whose market is very wide, especially
Indonesia has a variety of cultures in which there are games and traditional sports that we
can explore and develop so that they can be more interesting. This innovation in games and
traditional sports such as Rangku Alu, Engklek, Egrang etc. is one of the opportunities in
developing sport tourism in Indonesia. The opportunity to develop sport tourism is getting
bigger in the aftermath of the pandemic. People will tend to prefer to exercise in the open
space.
B. Aims
This international webinar aims at enriching knowledge of students, professional educators
as well as practitioners of physical education, especially those who concern about sport
tourism. This program, moreover, is expected to be able to nurture a new partnership
among those institutions.
