CLASS SCHEDULE: Saturday 8-11 am TEAM:

Explain the following briefly.

1. If the government has the prime duty to serve and protect its citizen, as a youth, what is your
responsibility to the state?
 As a youth, the responsibility I have to the state is to allow it to exist as long as it fulfills its duty to
serve the people and protect their rights, and stays within the scope of its constitutional limits. The only
duty I have is the same as we all have, to make sure that I do not infringe upon the life, or property of
another people while exercising the rights. The society gains trust when everyone performs their
obligations and when the trust fails, so does the society.

2. The government gives emphasis and importance to the youth, as such, what do you think are
the roles and contributions of the youth in nation building?
 The youth plays a great role in nation-building because it has the power to help the country develop
and move towards progress. It is also responsible for bringing social reform within a country. The youth
of a country determine the future of a nation. Youth simple renew, refresh and maintain the current
status of the nation-building because it includes leadership, innovations, and skills. Youth are expected
to advance the current technology, education, politics and peace of the country.

Make a Brief Reflection Paper Based on the Delivered Topic by the Speaker/Instructor using the
format below.

Environmental Education

Introduction

Environmental education is refers to the organized efforts to teach how natural

environments function, and particularly, how human beings can manage behavior and ecosystems
to live sustainably. The lecture focuses on the environmental resources that help us sustain our
daily living. It also tackles about the types, problems, causes of depletion and degradation, pollution
and the major solid waste management.

Body

Upon delivering the said topic, some barriers will occur because of the signal. All of the
things discussed are brief and concise but it is well explained. You can also understand it clearly
because there are examples included. For an instance, how she present and give emphasis to the
important details, how she can connect it to our daily life and how can she make it much clear. The
presentation is also eye catchy and entertaining to look for. The only problem that I encounter is
how the instructor just read the presentation, however it is also explained very well. The instructor
is asking herself what could be the possible questions that the students will ask her and she is
responding to it and give some sample to make it much clear.

Conclusion

Overall, the topic is interesting and easy to catch up. I can now determine easily the
importance of energy to us especially nowadays that electronics are the only thing that is being
used. I can explain it very well and give examples. Learning the importance of environmental
education can help us students to be more aware of the things that surround us and to know the
limitations that environment can give to us.

GUIDE QUESTIONS

1. What do you feel when you were choosing the best facial parts from the pictures?
 I feel insecure because the model in the picture did it flawlessly, no doubt that she is beautiful when I
saw it first. I also feel empowered because of the confidence that she has. I realized that there isn’t anything
wrong with how you look. What there is something wrong with how you feel about how you looked.

2. What did you feel when you saw the outcome of your “created” face?
 I felt happy and proud at the same time because not all of people have a complete set of eyes, ears and
beautiful lips. I even looked like my grandmother when she was young and I am overwhelmed because how
can my genes be that strong to copy and paste the face of my grandmother.

3. Do you still want to change your appearance after all?

 I don’t want to change my appearance because this is what our creature gave to me. I am now happy
and satisfied about it.

4. What did you learn about yourself as a creature and about God as creator?
 I have discovered new things where other people cannot relate. I have learned to create different things
like poetry and solve systematic and mathematical problems. I’ve learned to become respectful to every
people to be kind in every situation. God created the light in the darkness. His creation is to be able to
provide for humans and other creatures on the earth. God is the savior because if God doesn’t exist,
humans can’t be here.

5. Have you experienced the time in your life when you wanted to change your own appearance?
What did you do at that moment?
 Yes, I experienced it in my life where I wanted to change my appearance because people make fun of it.
Especially my nose and my birth mark on my forehead. I wanted to make it pointed and fine and I want my
birthmark to be gone because I feel like it is not right. I just want to stop the bullying that I am experiencing.
But, what I did was to accept that this is the face that was given to me and I must know how to appreciate
and love every single detail of it. After that realization, it slowly gave me the confidence that I need and the
fact that there is nothing to hide because we are all human after all.

6. Do you still think God made a mistake when He created you? Why?
 Fortunately today, I already stopped questioning my look and stopped thinking that it is just a mistake
and it doesn’t have its purpose.

format below.

First Aid with CPR

Introduction

As a youth, I have been hearing this first aid since then, and performing it to our school.
First aid is to care a sick or injured person before they get full medical treatment. CPR
(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is an emergency procedure wherein it combines chest
compressions often with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact brain function
until further measures are taken to restore spontaneous blood circulation and breathing in a person
who is in cardiac arrest. Teaching how to first aid and perform CPR is very vital especially when
you are joining an activity or recreational outside.

Body

The visual presentation of the instructor has a little set of definition and that is how I like a
presentation to be. The instructor give us so much information that I can also teach to other people
especially adult. Having some picture as a representation makes it more clear and precise to
understand. The way that the topic is being discussed is comprehensible as well as the reminders of
the teacher upon doing the first aid treatment of CPR. I like how the discussion felt so real because
the examples that are used are experiencing of many people. The different injuries are also
discussed and first aid the will be used in order to assist the injured person. The CPR is also present
well because there is some pictures included on how to do it properly and it is also defined well.
However, the font size of the presentation is quite small and it contradicts the background of the
lecture.

Conclusion

First aid is one of the most important things to know not because there is always danger
coming through but in order to help other people who’s in need and to give awareness to them. It
gives you tools to prevent the situation from becoming worse. By being able to provide basic care
you can stabilize a patient until emergency medical services arrives.

Values are important especially to us, Filipinos, because it gives us the guidance, beliefs, attitudes
and behavior towards other people. Once you continuously compromise your values in your decision-
making, the state of your moral are undeniable. Upon experiencing portraying different values of Filipino
people before and now, I have realized that nothings new. It stays the same because it is already part of
our tradition.

Filipino values before are one of the most hospitable people that the world know. This Filipino
attribute makes the Philippines one of the most favorite destinations by tourist up until now. We, Filipinos
are known to be “balat sibuyas” because we are perceived by a light insults. It is perfectly normal to criticize
but we tend to take it seriously. The word Filipino Time is one of the famous lines because many people are
not punctual and tend to go not on the standard time. On the 21 st century, Filipinos exemplify the five
modern values namely; pananalig, katapatan, pag-aaruga, kasipagan, and tibay ng loob. We portray
different aspects of traits became known to tourists. I have learned that even though Filipinos live a
thousand and years ago, we still treasure the things we have learned from our ancestors and continue to
teach our children to have a good values and right conduct.

Accident and Accident Prevention

Introduction

Accident is all over the world. It is basically an unintentional injury, incidental and an
unplanned event that could have been prevented had circumstances leading up to the accident been
recognized, and acted upon, prior to each occurrence. Over 120 million occupational accidents
occur annually and 210,000 of these are fatal. Preventing an accident is a process that involves the
deliberate avoidance of accidents that may occur on a job through protocols, procedures, personal
behaviors, and training. Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of accidents being broadcast
nationwide but still, people are not changing. It is important to know this topic in order to lessen
the incidents and prevent it.

Body

There are different types of accidents, the pedestrian accidents, home accidents, work,
public and the most common accident, the cellphone snatching. In this module, the causes of
accidents are being discussed these are by being confident and taking shortcuts. By being confident
it can cause you to make costly mistakes and it can make people not like you. Taking shortcuts,
instead of walking or using the right way, you are taking shortcuts in order to make it faster for
you to get into your destination, but little did you know, danger might come into your way. The
hazard and risk is also being discussed wherein hazard is something that has the potential to cause
harm while risk is the likelihood taking place, based on exposure to that hazard. Different
prevention is also being discussed clearly by the instructor, the identifying hazards, assess risks,
and control risks, It is now depend on the person who’s in danger to prevent himself/herself to get
into much worse trouble.

Conclusion

Understanding the events that led up to an accident can help to determine the cause.
Discovering patterns upon investigations in accidents may help determine if procedures need to be
altered to keep people and property safe. Sharing information and discoveries helps to prevent
future accidents and can reduce risks for others.

In order to maximize your contribution to your team, it is important to understand how you like to
operate when working with them, how to build on the strengths that you bring to your team and to
identify and deal with any potential limitation.

This inventory was developed to help identify your preferred team role. The inventory contains

You have 10 points to apportion among these choices. The more you feel a particular response or
choice fits you, the higher the number of points you give it. You can apportion the 10 points among
several choices or you may choose to allocate all the 10 points to one choice. Just be sure that the 10
points adds up to a total of 10 each statement.

It is important to remember that there is no right or wrong answers. Respond on the basis of how
you would like to be. Don’t stay long on any statement. Be sure to complete the inventory.

CLASS SCHEDULE: Saturday 8-11 am TEAM:

Team building is aimed at building effective relationships within the team. This concept includes
corporate events, psychological training which models the life of the collective, various playing activities
and team games. There are many things that we can learn from team building, because it is a group of
people helping each other out to represent their own team.
In my own experience, team building is hard because you will encounter many people and talk to
them about the upcoming activity, in my case, it is hard for me to approach people especially when I don’t
know them in the first place but I get along to them because we have our own aim to win the challenge. I
have developed my trust issues because there is a certain task that you will learn more about each other.
You will learn about each other’s strengths, weaknesses, capabilities, and fear, with these learning
contributing to a deeper relationship and trust amongst your members.
The purpose of team building is to build a stronger unit of each member. It improves the
productivity, motivation, encourages collaboration and builds trust and respect among students. It is
important to at least perform it once in a while to enjoy to company of each other and to relieve their stress
and at the same time to feel free and break from the workload of school works.
