3. Project Category

Project Category:
Category of this project is RDBMS and Distributed Environment based Object
Oriented Project with server side programming.
Category Justification:
Distributed projects are those projects where application is remotely situated. In
these kinds of projects application is remotely situated on to the remote server from
where client machine access this application. WAN and Internet is a kind of
distributed application where client machine connects to the remote server and
application is downloaded on to client machine.

Weather you are working on projects or Distributed projects there are two sides of
it:-

1. Front End.
2. Back End.

Front End remains on client side. Front end is made for end user who uses our
application. Basically in front end our input-output forms reside which takes the
input from the client and gives output back to client.
Backend remains on server side and has two components i.e.

a. Server side program.

b. Data Base.

Database is the most important thing in this universe of Software as data base gives
identity to a thing, without database existence of a thing is impossible.

Tools and Software

.Net Platform (SQL Server 2005)

This Software would be developed using .Net Platform because it is most secure, reliable,
managed, easily deployable and upgradeable platform. Basis of .Net Platform is .Net
Framework. This application would be using following:

⮚ .NET =>.NET Framework is a new computing platform that simplifies application

development in the highly distributed environment of the internet. .NET Framework is
most secure, reliable, managed, easily deployable and upgradeable platform. Basis of
.Net Platform has best integration with .NET framework. It is a powerful and flexible
“Programming Language”.
The Microsoft .NET Framework was developed to solve this problem: -

● Easier and quicker programming

● Reduced amount of code
● Richer server control hierarchy with events.
● Large class library
● Better support for development tools.
Data store => SQL Server 2005 is backend used in our software SQL Server is a
relational database management system (RDBMS) produced by Microsoft.

Some of the features of SQL SERVER 2005

9
Liti Corp Jurists File Management System 063052922

Flexibility:-Different table from which information has to be linked and extracted can be
easily manipulated by operators such as projection and join to give information in which it is
desire.

Precision:-The usage of relational algebra and relational calculus in the manipulation of

the relations between the tables ensures that there is no ambiguity the linkage in a complicated
network type database.

Security:-Security control and authorization can also be implemented more easily by

moving sensitive attributes in a given table into a separate relation with its own authorization
controls

Data Independence: - Data independence can be achieved more easily with

normalization structure used in a relational database then in the more complicated tree network
structure.

Data Manipulation Language: - The possibility of responding it ad-hoc query by means of a

language based on relational algebra and relational calculus is easy in the relational database
approach. For data organized in the other structure the query language become either complex or
extremely limited in its capabilities.

5. Problem Definition, Requirement Specifications

INTRODUCTION
My proposed project “Liti Crop Jurists File Management System”, is Software, The
setup file of Software have to install the system. People who wish to manage the Law Firm can
take advantage of this project without fear of losing their money.

Requirement analysis can be a long and arduous process. The requirements specialists do their
work by talking to people, documenting their findings, analyzing the collected information to
discover inconsistencies and oversights, and then talking the people again.

New system change the environment and relationships between people, so it is important to
identify all the stakeholders, take into account all their needs and ensure they understand the
implications of the new systems Frequently, this objective is not met because:

- There is not enough communication up front and important needs are overlooked when
the system is implemented.
- There is not enough ongoing communication during system development and the users
are disappointed by the new system’s characteristics.

Method of Requirements Analysis

● Interview
● Questionnaire
● On Site Observation
● Review of Literature, Procedures, and Forms
● Contract-style requirement lists
● Prototype
● Use cases
● Software Requirement Specification
I gathered information about “Liti Crop Jurists File Management System” by Project

FEASIBILITY STUDY

11
Liti Corp Jurists File Management System 063052922

Feasibility is the determination of whether or not a project is worth doing. The process followed
in making this determination is called a feasibility study. This type of study determines if a
project can and should be taken.

This project has also undertaken in the scope of feasibility study. As in the manual system there
are so many deficiencies so to overcome from these deficiencies new computerized system
required. But whether the new system is feasible in the realistic conditions or not for this purpose
we have seen this project from different criteria’s. Many feasibility studies are necessary for both
users and analysts.

The feasibility studies may be carried out in three phases:

● Technical Feasibility
● Economic Feasibility
● Time Feasibility
Technical feasibility:

Development of a Liti Crop Jurists File Management System is possible, as its only
lookout is to provide information to the top level of management.

It simply tries to make data available to the management for policy making, management
planning and control purposes.

Such a system is possible to be created, if we can plan our needs and objectives
systematically.

Economic Feasibility:

The economic feasibility of this project is one of its key features, storing and retrieving
data will be cheaper than the manual system. Number of required Advocate will go down to a
great extent providing the System with profit or you can say extra fund which can be diverted to
other fields.

Time Feasibility:

This project is also feasible according to the time factor. It can provide information faster
than the manual system.

Planning and Scheduling

We have chosen waterfall model to develop my project. This is the most familiar model. This
model has five phases:
● Requirement analysis and specification
● Design
● Implementation and unit testing
● Integration and unit testing
● And operation & management
The phases always occur in this order and do not overlap. The developer must complete
each phase before the next phase begins.

6.2 Entity-Relationship Diagram

User Login model (ERM) in software engineering is an abstract and conceptual

An entity-relationship
representation of data. Entity-relationship modeling is a relational schema database modeling
method, used to produce a type of conceptual schema or semantic data model of a system, often
Start
a relational database, and its requirements in a top-down fashion. Diagrams created using this
process are called entity-relationship diagrams, or ER diagrams or ERDs for short. There are
three basic elements in ER models:
Application Form
1. Entities are the "things" about which we seek information.
2. Attributes are the data we collect about the entities.
3. Relationships provide the structure needed to draw information from multiple entities.

9.1 FUTURE SCOPE OF APPLICATION:

There is nothing in this world, which can be said to be complete in itself.

Everything requires changes as time passes by. This project is also not complete in
itself. There is always place for improvement and up gradation.
The software depends mainly upon the following things: -

1. GUI
2. User friendliness
3. Cost
4. Modifiable and upgradeable
Any software, which is developed, should have the balance of the all above aspect
then the product will definitely drive the market.
The Future scope of this software is-
● Software is converted into online.
● In future the management will decided to use the credit card.
● In this software to provide the Email facility.
● In future this software is also gives the detail of employee who is working in
a firm.

9.2 OVERVIEW OF THE PROJECT:

This document contains the system of “Liti Crop Jurists File Management
System“. This is software which is providing help to the Legal Firm. Software
would be helping the users to learn how manage the Legal Firm. This system is
very beneficial for whom who wants to understand functions of File Management
System.
