SUPREME PUPIL GOVERNMENT ELECTION
NARRATIVE REPORT FOR SPG ELECTION

S. Y. 2021-2021
I. INTRODUCTION
The global COVID-19 pandemic has had huge disruptive effects on normal life,
difficult as it already was in many countries especially in the Philippines. For schools,
students and parents, the impact of closed schools and children stuck at home with little
or no access to learning, the effect has been devastating. The global Coronavirus disease
(COVID) has paved the way for new ways of content delivery to people, especially now that
we need to adopt the present day situation of the new normal.
Supreme Pupil Government aims to lay the groundwork for unity and cooperation
among students by providing them a venue where they can improve their leadership
abilities inspite and despite our current situation. It also seeks to train students to
become better members of the society with the ideals and principles of participative
democracy. Thus this Supreme Pupil Government Election paved way to make impossible
possible.
II. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The Supreme Pupil Government Election aims to:
1. to have unity and cooperation among students;
2. to train students to become member of the society; and
3. to harness the student as a partner in achieving quality education.
III. HIGHLIGHT OF THE ACTIVITY
Pursuant to the Division Memorandum no. 350, series 2021 which is the
Supreme Pupil Government Election under the new normal, DepEd-CLSU Elem. (Lab.)
School
conducted SPG election last October 18 then the casting of votes on Oct 19, 2021.
It started with a virtual meeting the advisers and practice teachers on the planning
of the SPG election. It was done successfully and we come up with an online platform via
Google form. It was followed by the announcement of Election and schedule of activities or
the matrix. The COMELEC immediately evaluate and file all the application/requirements

needed and consolidate for the line up of the candidates. I send all the pictures of the
candidates through the concerned advisers and they will send it to their respective group
chat.
Since we are already in digitized we have no problem in casting their votes, they all
participated and vote wisely via google form. I enter all the names of the pupils per grade
level and they will just look for their names and then the next page will be the voting. The
names of all the candidates are their they only need to choose who they want to vote. We
consolidate the votes by getting the percent of all the votes.
Truly this new normal way of election has been a great learning for everyone of us
since especially for the pupils because they only vote through online platform but it has
been a good fight for the result is so closed. Indeed the election was a successful one
inspite and despite our current situation now.
IV. LESSON LEARNED
As an SPG Adviser its really hard to handle such a big difference in terms of the
changes of the election, I have a of lot things to prepare as well on how to communicate
effectively and disseminate this information or announcement. So I come up with a plan
on how are we going to handle and take action on this.
Changes in the election on how to do it is quite hard but fulfilling, changes for me
is a part of learning that everyone should know. Deped-CLSU is gearing toward blended
learning so I don’t have such problem in dealing in terms of internet connectivity but their
are some learners who are struggling in using this kind of platform but I see to it that
everyone has the chance to vote and can make a difference by choosing who they want to
vote.
And I have also learned that you need to be resilient in everything that you will do. And
ofcoure without the help of my Co-teachers,practice teachers and most especially our dear
principal Ma’am Genalyn B. Tangonan this would’t be possible.
V. SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATION
We suggest and recommend that webinars/meeting be held during vacation

breaks or holidays so that teachers can focus on their teaching because as we all know
there’s a lot of things to do nowadays especially that we are in the new normal way of
providing learning.
