• Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched an e-voucher-based digital payment
solution, ‘e-RUPI’. This initiative is a QR code or SMS string-based e-voucher, which is
delivered to the mobile of the beneficiaries.
• It was developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on its UPI platform
in collaboration with the Department of Financial Services.

• The Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the extension of the
centrally sponsored Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) 2.0. It is an integrated scheme for school
education from 01 April 2021 to 31 March 2026 with an estimated outlay of around Rs. 3 lakh
crores.

• IIT Roorkee has launched an earthquake early warning (EEW) mobile app called

the insured amount to the depositors within 90 days of the date such liability arises.

• The application for registration or intimation or approval under various sections of the Income
Tax Act in Form No. 10A required to be filed on or before 30 June has been extended from 31
August 2021 to 31 March 2022.
