they have in explaining how the world came to be?
• Bilaan story is about a God (melu) creating a human by the parts of his body. The Tagalog story
about a bird found human inside the bamboo.

2, which creation story is espoused by your religion? How would you compare that particular origin
story to there two folk narratives?
• The 1st story will be espoused by my religion cause God is creating a human by Their parts of
Their body.
3,which aspect of the two culture could have influence the stories? Based on the details of the two
creation stories , what can we conclude about the two cultures that came up with them?
• How the world and humans created

• Those two story is different in one other cause they have different ways of creating a
human/world.
4, is there such a thing as a "correct" version of how the world has created? What can we learn about
diversity from the creation stories that we have read?
• For me no , we really didn't know how the world created we have no evidence but we have bible
that we can base on.
• I learned that we have our own belief and knowledge how they/we think how the world
created.

1, whose idea was Dr. Rizal responding to? What exactly was the notion held about Filipinos during
Rizal's time?
• He explain the alleged idleness of Doc. Rizal's people during the Spanish colonization.
• He is responding to the people who think Filipinos is indolence
2, how did Rizal defend the identity of his countrymen? What arguments, condition, and examples did
he cite to make case?
• Rizal defend Filipinos by saying that they are not indolent by nature because before they came,
Filipinos have been doing economic activities such agriculture and trades.
3, among Rizal's argument , which was the most helpful to his defense of Filipinos? Explain.
• They he said that Filipinos work harder especially in our hot country that burn our skin cause
Filipinos work hard even we are struggling cause of the hotness

• Yes , Being an overseas Filipino worker and our government trying their best to change and
improve our country . And people that OFW so they can help their family to earn money even
sacrificing them selves to go to other country just to earn money.

• Pablo have been sentence to dead due to the murder of the her lover's rapist.
• Yes cause he have to much pain and suffering due to his past and to his mother that abandon
him
2, how would you describe Pablo's relationship with the three woman in this excerpt? To whom is the
closest?
• Tia Chedeng is the mother figure she is the one how took care of him when his mother abandon
him , Angle is his mother that abandon him and didn't took care of him when his a child , and
lastly Christina the one who very much love hir and his lover
• For me Christina is the most closest to him cause Pablo did all this thing just to revenge her.
3, is Pablo a dynamic character in this excerpt? Does his character experience significant change by the
end to the play? Explain
• Yes Pablo is dynamic character on this excerpt cause he undergo changes to this story cause in
the first part Pablo is have very strong emotion about his mother he blame his mother about all
thing and why he did this , but in the end he knew the full story and accepted this wrong doing
and be able to forgive his mother and he also have faith in God .
4, how would you evaluate Guerrero's use of the English language in his play? Can we consider
"condemned" to be a testament of Filipino's mastery of the language ? Justify your claim by citing details
from the excerpt.
• I think yes , because of his death sentence Pablo realize all the things his done and he also
forgive and saw his mother for a long time.

• It has capitalization every line/sentence and it has different number of structure every stanza.
2, Why does the poem allude to Icarus and Daedalus? What is the story of these figure if Greek
mythology, and what does this story have to do with poem?
• Icarus is the son of Daedalus who attempted to escape prison

• making a wax feather for them to use in to escape in the dark labyrinth cause they are
trapped/imprisoned in the wilderness.
3, What persona is being invoked by this poem? Who or What could be the voice that unfolds each line
of the poem?
• feeling of the speaker about the world he is with in.

• I think the poem is trying to reveal the feeling of the speaker about the world he live in.
4, Compare Ilio’s use of the English language with Guerrero's handling if English in ''Condemned''
(featuring in the previous lesson). As suggested by "Icarus'', to what extent have our writers embraced
the English language during the post-war period?

1, What particular seasons does the essay focus on? Have you tried any of the seasonal food mentioned
in the essay? If so , which ones?
• Winter is the season that essay focuses, I actually tried many food that mentioned but my
favorite are ham and yema.
2, Describe the author's style of writhing. What techniques make her portrayal of food effective?
• The style is telling the reader about the food in different places , place and religions
3, Comment on the essay's historical dimension. What information doe the essay give about our
country's past colonizers?
• We gain many information in the our past colonizer

• The essay is about food that people eat in every countries
4, Name other occasion in our country that also feature a seasonal set of food. Why do you think
Filipinos favor specific food for specific seasons?
• For me new year cause we have a huge variety if food when it’s new year. Different kind of meat
and desserts.
