1. The table below shows the number of computers that are assigned to four
houses in Hogwarts and the number of students in those houses. A total of 15
computers are to be apportioned among the four houses.

SOLUTION: Because the sum of the Lower Qouta is 13 and it is lower than
15 the number of the computers, we must decide which house will receive
the two “excess” computers. According to Hamilton’s Method, Gryffindor will
receive one excess computer because it has the highest decimal point and
the next that will receive the one excess computer is the Ravenclaw because
it is the next to be the highest decimal point.
Because the sum of the upper quotas (15) is equal to the total number of
representatives, to be allocated (15), the apportionment process is complete. By
using Adam’s method, The 35 will be apportioned as shown.
e. Use the Webster’s method to determine the number of computers to be
apportioned to each house.
