Writing Rubric

The writing rubric evaluates student writing across 8 criteria on a scale of 1 to 5. It assesses the content and ideas, organization, vocabulary and word choice, voice, sentence fluency, conventions, and overall presentation of the writing. A score of 1 indicates the writing does not meet expectations, while a score of 5 means the writing exceeds expectations by being clear, focused, engaging, and error-free.
