Hardly any hesitancy or false starts. 8 Speech is smooth for the most part. Little hesitancy. 7 Speech is occasionally hesitant, but does not affect the quality of communication. . 6/5 Speech is generally hesitant and affects the quality of communication. 4/3 Speech is very hesitant and choppy. Frequent pauses and/or unfinished phrases. 2/1 Hardly any to no fluency.
