Design Features NEWAY

Body/Bonnet - Forged of high strength A105N carbon steel as a standard material.A350-LF2,A182-F11,F5 , F22,
and F316 are also available upon request. The body and bonnet interior surfaces are machined, resulting in low
resistance. Full and reduced ports are both supplied. Threaded, socket-weld, and flanged ends are offered.
Male to female bonnet joint of bolted bonnet valves assures alignment and correct gasket compression, as
well as ease of in-line maintenance. Welded bonnet valves provide an extra measure of protection to further
guard against leakage when it may be a hazard. The bonnet is threaded in to the body and then seal welded.
Heat numbers are permanently die stamped on body and bonnet for complete traceability.

Seats - Hard faced to resist wear, erosion, galling,or seizure. The seats are a rolled-in design on gate valves, and
either integral or renewable on globe and check valves.

Disc/Wedge - Standard is solid A217-CA15(13% chrome) stainless steel construction. It is guided by body Grooves
to insure alignment with the seats. The tee-head stem/disc connection provides seating efficiency.Other materials
are available upon request.

Stem - Standard is A182 - F6a(13% chrome ) stainless steel.The stem/disc connection is obtained by means of a
tee -head,which fits into a machined slot in the disc, assuring easy operation by reducing strain on the stem.
Other materials are available upon request.

Gasket - 304 stainless steel spiral wound with grafoil is standard. This type of gasket provides resiliency, chemical
resistance, and premium sealing capability through the entire operating spectrum. Other gasket materials
are available upon request.

Bolting - Standard for bolted bonnet valves is A193 Grade B7. Valves can be quickly and easily disassembled
in line or at the job site should gasket replacement or other maintenance be necessary.

Packing - Grafoil is standard. It is a non- asbestos, environmentally safe, general purpose packing, suitable
to a variety of different conditions. Other packing materials are available upon request.

Gland Eyebolts - Facilitate packing maintenance . These bolts swing away from body to allow ease of addition
or removal of packing.

Stem Nut - Arrangement is designed to permit removal of handwheel without allowing stem and wedge to drop
into the closed position if the handwheel is removed with the valve open.

Handwheel - Ductile iron designed for ease of operation and comfort.

Nameplate - Constructed of aluminum , identifies the body and trim materials, pressure and temperature
rating of the valve, and the figure number.

Disc - Discs (check valves) are spring loaded to facilitate either horizontal or vertical installation.
