This experiment aims to classify different types of knitting machines. There are two broad categories of knitting machines: weft knitting machines and warp knitting machines. Weft knitting machines form fabric loops horizontally from a single yarn, while warp knitting machines form loops vertically along the length of fabric from each warp yarn. Weft knitting machines are further divided into flat bed and circular bed types based on the shape of the needle bed. Warp knitting machines are divided into single bed and double bed types.
