STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE FOR PURIFIED

WATER GENERATION SYSTEM

1) The Raw Water will be dosed using the Chlorine Doser (DT-101), Doser will dose the
Chlorine Solution (Sodium Hypochlorite (NaClO)) in raw water.
2) Than the Water will start filling in Raw Water Storage Tank (T-101)(Client’s Scope), Float
Type Level Sensor(FLS-101) is there to check the level of raw water in 3 stages
(Tank Low Level, Tank Mid Level & Tank High Level).
3) There 2 Centrifugal pump placed in which one pump is in working state
& other is in standby mode.
4) Pump is controlled by Variable Frequency Drive (VFD-101).
5) Ball valves (BV-101, BV-102, BV-103 & BV-104) are provided at both suction and
discharge of pumps.
6) Non Return Valve (NRV-101) is provided at discharge line for pump safety purpose, it will
prevent the raw water from flowing back to the low pressure on the suction side , if the
pump shutdown unexpectedly for any reason.
7) Keep the Ball Valve (BV-101 & BV-102) open at the start time.
8) As the Raw water Level reaches mid level of Float Type Level Sensor(FLS-101), the Raw
water pump (P-101) will start.
9) Then Raw water pump (P-101) will feed the raw water to the Auto Pressure Sand Filter
for the Filtration Process.
10) Rotameter (RM-101) is provided in line to check the flowrate of raw water in line.
11) Pressure Gauge (P-101) is provided to check the pressure at inline of the Auto Pressure
Sand Filter (PSF-101) & Sampling valve (SV-101) is provided to take sample for checking
purpose.
12) Then the raw water enters the Auto Pressure Sand Filter (PSF-101), in which there gravel
& graded sand layers are arrange to filter any impurities or dust particles from raw water.
13) Auto Multiport Valve (AMPV-101) is placed on Auto Pressure Sand Filter (PSF-101),which
operated in 3 modes.
a) Service Mode: In Service mode, Normal filtration of raw water is done.
b) Backwash Mode: In Backwash Mode, we generally send the water reversible way as
service mode, in this mode the cleaning of Auto Pressure Sand Filter (PSF-101) is done.
c) Rinse Mode : In Rinse Mode, the rinse cycle allows water to flow back down through
the sand to flush out any remaining dirt & debris from the filter and piping.
14) After Auto Pressure Sand Filter (PSF-101), there is a Pressure Gauge (P-102) is provided
to check the pressure at inline of the Auto Water Softening Plant (WSP-101) & Sampling
valve (SV-102) is provided to take sample for checking purpose.

b) Backwash Mode: In Backwash Mode, we generally send the water reversible way as
service mode, in this mode the cleaning of Auto Water Softening Plant (WSP-101) is
done.

through the Resin to flush out any remaining dirt & debris from the filter and piping at
a high flowrate.
