Purpose of Research The main purose in this research is to improve ability of
listening and speaking student in matter english language
studying in grade of class in Yakobus Saint Elementary School
in Makassar. This theory have three section development base
speculation of Bloom acording to post-test from speaking and
listening that subjecting on students.

Population and sample The subject on this research is chosen 60 student in first
class Saint Elementary School Makassar as population, and
be shared become two groups that is control group many
30 student’s people as comparer material and experiment
group many 30 people student who accept treatment as
sample. The sample is chosen to use it sample pusposif that
is the election of reason to be based-sample-surest reason.

Assesment Data Kualitatif and kuantitatif


Method and Technique The method that to be used research is observation method
Data Collection and test method, where the test method to be used to know
result archievement of speaking and listening from student.
The student. The data collection technique that to be used
heed technique to listen the result of speaking and listening
from student and recording technique to record that to be
pronounced by student.
Variable Research That is two variable on this research that is independent
variable facy of studying English Language with using
audiovisual method, this variable is told that as
independent variable because of it’s flexibility variable can
be arranged by examiner. And then the one of it is tied
variable to be always hanged from the influence in it’s
independent variable . in this research the tied variable is
advancing listening and speaking from group who accept
treatment.
Result Research Learning is done with the help of flashcards (picture cards)
of the card themed numbers and colors (colours). Before
doing research, researchers giving pre test to both groups.
This test is divided into two forms of test, that is speaking
test and listening test. The purpose of this test is to measure
the ability of both groups. After the initial test is done, the
experimental group is the group that will receive
treatment will be given audiovisual teaching method using
picture cards which has been prepared, while for the
control group is not given treatment. Audio visual
It aims to develop students' speaking and listening skills, so
that the application of many treatments using inducement
or stimulation to students in particular the audio part of the
sound representing each image shown by the researcher or
teacher field of study, and the visuals or images contained
in the card to help remember and understand the meaning
of the expression contained in the card (flashcard). It is
intended to provide a stimulus to students in terms of
accelerating the ability to catch, by learning using
audiovisual students can be more flexible because the
visual passing of teachers can be direct explain what
students see, language learning becomes more interesting.
Based on the results obtained by the students then the data
obtained is a group experiments on pre test have an average
rating of 6.867 (six point eight six seven) with median 7
(seven), mode 9 (nine). The lowest score that students get
on the initial test is 3 (three) and the highest value is 9
(nine). For the listening value of the post test, value
obtained by experimental group that is, average 9,267 (nine
point two six seven), median 10 (ten), mode 10 (ten), the
lowest score obtained by students is 5 (five) and the highest
value obtained is 10 (ten). The control group has a value
the acquisition for pre test mean 7.2 (seven point two),
median 7 (seven), mode 9 (nine), with the lowest value and
the highest value is 4 (four) and 9 (nine). For post test
value, the value obtained by the control group is mean
8.767 (eight point seven six seven),
median 9 (nine), mode 9 (nine), with the lowest score of 6
(six) and the highest value 10
(ten).
Analysist Technique Analysical Technique Data on this research programmed
statistic parametik in to accepting it with the vadility data
on measure correctness the instrument that to be used in
research , teh normally test of data to state it data
significant level to level 5%, and also to use it statictic test.
Advantage Research     The journal have many refered book and expert to support

the result of research anf theory that to be brought up the


writer. And this written journal must ordered with neat.
The writer also to analyisisthe result of the reserarch in
from tabe until peoples who want to understand the result
of the research and mentioned it with easy way

Weakness of Research  very little additional opinion of experts in the journal


 At the conclusion, the cover is not explained as a sign.
And does not include suggestions for authors, schools,
academic activities or further researchers. However,
suggestions are seen only in the discussion
 Lack of unexplained research steps, all of which are
summarized in conclusion or outline or in general non-
specific
Conclusion To improve the listening and speaking skill of student that
usually to pronounce it in english language and to listen to
wrod mentioned that can be repeat it grade evaluatio that
almost perfect. In this research expecting to every teacher
to take this material with very important to teach it English
Language with to use method audiovisual instead of in
teaching english language become more to interest and
variations in to improve the quality studying english
language for child. This audiovisual method is very well to
developing english language specially for child.
