Foreword
Replace the description of patent by the following.
It should be noted that being in conformance with this Standard may come under the
use of the patent rights held by the following:
The relevant holders of the above-mentioned patent rights have indicated to the
Japanese Industrial Standards Committee an intention of granting license to anyone
under the nondiscriminatory and reasonable conditions, except to the other relevant
holders of the patent rights related to this Standard who will not grant their licenses
under the same conditions.
It should be noted that following this Standard does not always refer to granting a
free license.
There is the possibility that some parts of this Standard may conflict with patent
rights other than mentioned above. The relevant Minister and the Japanese Industrial
Standards Committee are not responsible for identifying any of such patent rights, ap-
plications for a patent after opening to the public or utility model rights.
The "patent rights" as mentioned here include patent right, application for a patent
after opening to the public or utility model right.

In this table, the first "SUS" and the last "TP" of each symbol are omitted.
Example: This table indicates 304 for grade symbol SUS304TP.
NOTE 1 Nominal thicknesses Sch5S, Sch10S and Sch20S in this table have the letter S at the end. This is because schedule numbers have been borrowed from ASME/ANSI B36.19 [11, and are to be distinguished from nominal
thicknesses Sch40 to Sch160 borrowed fmm ASME/ANSI B36.10 [21
NOTE 2 The unit mass in this table is obtained from Table 10.
Note a) Pipes are designated by nominal diameter and nominal wall thickness (schedule number: Sch). Either A or B is used for the nominal diameter. Suffix A or B, whichever is used, to figures.

In this table, the first "SUS" and the last "TP" of each symbol are omitted.
Example: This table indicates 304 for grade symbol SUS304TP.
NOTE 1 Nominal thicknesses Sch5S, SchlOS and Sch20S in this table have the letter S at the end. This is because schedule numbers have been borrowed from ASME/ANSI B36.19, and are to be distinguished from nominal thicknesses Sch40 to Sch80 borrowed from ASME/ANSI B36.10.
NOTE 2 The unit mass in this table is obtained fi.'om Table 10.
Notes a) Pipes are designated by diameter and wall thickness. The nominal diametel' and wall thickness may be used upon agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer. In this case, either A or B shall be used for the nominal diameter. Suffix A or B, whichever is used, to figures.
b) The dimensions not given in Table 8 shall be included in parentheses for distinction.
