secured cages.
17. Hot work permit to be prepared and attached to the general work permit.
18. Although excavation depth is over 1,2m, excavation area dimensions exceeds
10,0m X 10,0m and to be considered as not a confined space, confined space
requirements (full body harness, rescue rope, two watchmen, yellow armband,
confined space training...etc) not to be taken into account.
19. Excavation area covered by fixed and mobile gas detectors
20. Gas detector to be used if needed
21. Gas detectors to be bump tested daily.
22. In case of gas detector alarms, any emergency, switch off angle grinder and
employees working inside the excavation area shall evacuate immediately by
means of truck access road and staircase/ladder.
23. After gas detector alarm has finished, excavation area to be inspected by
authorized personel for gas-free prior to access and start any work activity inside
excavation area.
24. Work permits and attachments, shall be with permit holder
25. All employees shall be effectively trained for the tasks, which they are required
to perform.
26. Any injury or emergency is to be reported to the supervisor immediately.
27. Proper housekeeping shall be maintained at the end of each shift throughout the
project.
28. No daisy chaining of extension cords.
29. Operators manual must be present for angle grinder on job site
30. All equipment certificates to be presented on job site office.

materials hidden behind walls or in partitions,
particularly if the welding or cutting will go
on for some time.
• Use flame-resistant sheets or covers to
prevent hot particles passing through
openings in the floors and walls.
• Prevent flame, heat, sparks or hot spatter

cylinder away from any ignition supply and
call authorized personel to remove cylinder
out from workplace to a safe area.
• When flashback fire does occur, first shut off
oxygen (blue) then propane (red) from torch.
Then shut off oxygen and propane cylinders
in a sequence.
