Dear Officer,

I am Harvinder Pal Singh Kainth resident of Bathinda, India. My passport number is – Z

6077946. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. I have
always had this mindset that apart from having the skills, having the willingness to do
something in life is a major factor. Having the ability to break and mold your aspiration is
what I believe in. I have always wanted to include an international certificate in my resume
because of the weightage and importance it carries and also to get an exposure to the
international education culture. Hence to enhance and improvise my knowledge in IT, I
desire to pursue an international program.

I have appeared for IELTS conducted by IDP on 5th December 2020 and I have scored 7.5
bands (Listening-8.5, Reading-8.5, Writing-6.0 & Speaking-6.5). I have also received an
acceptance letter from Canadore College, Canada for Post Graduate Diploma in Project
Management in IT. The program is scheduled to commence on September 07, 2021 and will
continue for the duration of 1 Year.

My activities:
I have always been a passionate learner and was fascinated about technology and its
development. After completing Senior Secondary, I did Bachelor of Technology (Electronics
& Communication Engineering) from Punjabi University in June 2012 with first division
(7.51 CGPA) to intensify my technical knowledge. I also participated in different activities
which boosted me to upgrade my skills and potential.

Work Experience:
As soon as I completed my education, I got an opportunity to work with Infosys limited in the
year 2013, I worked there for approximately 5 years as a Technology Analyst. Then, I was
appointed as a consultant at Saama Technologies PVT LTD from March 2018 to July 2019.
Currently, I am working as a Senior Software Engineer with HSBC Technologies LTD since
July 2019.
Role of Project Management - IT:
I opted to study Project Management- IT to be able to systematically break a larger problem
or project down into smaller chunks of manageable work that will eventually lead to
culminating into the completion of the projects given to me. The program will develop strong
management, leadership, business process analysis and risk management skills. Learning
project management in IT would enhance my knowledge in internal communication tools like
project chat rooms, messaging apps & so forth. This technology will allow me to quickly and
confidentially record critical project communications with other members of the team. It will
also enable me to jump between different roles to ensure that the process can always meet the
needs of the project.

I have chosen Canadore College because the learning environment at Canadore focuses on

Why Canada:
Canada was the first and foremost choice for me, when I was in a phase to choose a country
for my further study because of some straight forward reasons. The cultural flexibility and
the diversity it has, made me choose Canada as a destination for further studies. The cost of
study and living in Canada is much affordable than any other foreign country. Also, the
education is practical based rather than the theoretical knowledge. All Canadian institutes
provide an innovative and challenging environment in which one can nurture their true
potential. A degree from a Canadian institution is considered of a great value to employers
around the world, especially in India. Developing a network with fellow international
students would be a great opportunity. The education system in Canada is adaptable and
diverse. It is well updated in each and every domain. The quality of education did not
deteriorate even in the pandemic in fact all the necessary assistance was provided by the
government in order to support the people around. The country is well known for its strong
education system and health care system.
Canada is a diverse country which encourages and celebrates every occasion, this gives
homely feeling to the international students out there. These educational and social factors in
totality are the reason why I wish to pursue Project Management – IT from Canada.

Funding:
As part of my funding for the program and 1 year stay in Canada, I have already paid the
tuition fee of 1 year that is CAD $14,994 and GIC of amount CAD $10,200.

Future Goals:
After completion of this international program, I plan to return to my nation of origin that is,
India and find employment in an MNC and utilize my expertise. Since internship is a part of
the program, the probability of opportunities in India becomes higher and better. I wish to
contribute significantly towards my country by working with emerging companies and also
by doing business since, after this course I will not only be able to contribute my skills for an
MNC but will also be able to initiate a start-up. Pune will be my preferred city to work in, but
irrespective of this, relocation within India is never an issue. My family consists of 4 people
my parents, myself and my younger sister. I want to be the pillar of my family. I wish to
pursue my education and return to my home country as soon as possible, in order to take care
of them and be a support system financially as well as emotionally. Thus, on completion of
my program, I intend to pursue a professional career in an Indian company. At the end, my
only goal is to be a successful and dynamic professional in near future which can make me
stand out amongst all. I am sure that I will be able to contribute to the thriving Indian
economy with my skills and experience.
