GENERAL SAFETY GUIDELINES:

The user should read and understand these guide lines completely before operating, Setting up,
running or performing maintenance on the machine.
1. Keep the work station clean and free from obstacles.
2. Know and respect your machinery. Make sure that who works for , with or near you, fully
understands and more importantly follows these precautions.
3. Always be mentally alert on the job and keep in good physical condition. Never use the
machine while under influence of medication or drugs.
4. Personal protective equipments (Gloves, shoes, helmets and goggles ) should be worn at all
times to prevent from sharp edges of tools, machined parts and flying objects, chips etc.
5. Always memorize the emergency stop button locations.
6. Never remove or bypass safety stop dogs, limit switches or interlocks provided for the
various slides.
7. Pay special attention during work piece loading and unloading operations, since your hands
may become trapped between the work piece and the table / chuck or between work piece
and tool. Spindle should be with out tool while loading and unloading of work piece.
8. Do not move too close to the working zone or rotating areas during machining cycles.
9. Clean the follower block clamp & die faces before tube feeding.
10. During operation be attentive to the machining process. Excessive Vibration, unusual sound
etc. can indicated problems requiring your immediate attention.
11. Keep all operating electrical equipment in safe and proper working condition.
12. Always keep layout plate locked. Do not sit on layout plate, it may slide out if unlocked.
13. Do not walk across the trolley rails while moving.
14. Protect gangway side shaft from hitting by trucks & cranes.
15. Shut off the power to your machine if you leave the operating area. Always turn master
disconnect switch to the off position before attempting to clean the machine or if guards or
covers are removed that would expose hazardous areas.
16. In order to avoid any accident when the machine is running, it is necessary to prevent a
safety distance of 1000mm between the machine and access are for the personnel of the
factory.
OPERATION OF THE MACHINE:

Satisfactory working.
3.1) Load the Fin tubes at handling system of the machine on in-feed side.
4.1) Check all movement of roller trolley by taking the dry run & insure the satisfactory working.
5.1) Set the limit switch of the roller trolley movement as per the requirement.
6.1) Clean Tube O.D. & bending die area with cotton waste. Mark bending centerline on tube.
7.1) Mount bending die & follower block clamp as per tube bending requirement.
(Tube die, Radius, Bend angle)
8.1) Insert tube inside Machine follower block clamp & press button for clamping both side.
9.1) Bend the first tube in manual mode of the machine
10.1) Inspect the tube – Operator, Supervisor & shop QC.(Checking parameters : bend angle,
ovality, thinning)
11.1) Fill the setting chart.
12.1) After approval by shop QC, continue the production. Put system in AUTO MODE
by pressing auto start button.
13.1) Press OP.Signal button on slave machine after bending on both side is over.
Press for continue push button after LED is glowed.
14.1) Repeat the procedure 8.1 to13.1 for next tube.
15.1) Check every tube visually for score marks, Bulge, clamp marks, slippage etc.
16.1) For any abnormality during the process, immediately report to shop Engineer /
Shop In-charge.
17.1) Transfer bended tube through roller trolley to stand by SOLENOID.ON
18.1) Follow the operating procedure for bend excess length cutting on cutting M/c.
19.1) Clean Tube O.D. & Cutting M/C clamping area with cotton waste. &
Mark excess cutting length for cutting.
20.1) Insert tube inside cutting machine vice & clamp tube manually both side.
21.1) Switch on machine for performing cutting operation.
22.1) Cut the fin tube on marked position.
23.1) Unclamp tube from vice , Slide the tube in forward direction for checking on lay out plate.
24.1) Slide the tube back, off the cutting machine & movable cutting machine. Press the reset
button.
25.1) Turn Solenoid. ON switch to lift the tube., Push Rev. Inching button to move
the trolleys back.
26.1) Push reset button so that trolleys will not stop at cutting station with Rev Inching button
pressed.
27.1) Repeat the procedure from 18.1 to 33.1 for next tube

MAINTENANCE CHECK POINTS

1. Keep all LINEAR MOVEMENT Blocks greased once in a week.

2. Keep all chains & sprockets greased.
3. Change gear box oil every 3months.
4. Check PU tube carrier chains for any missing links or loosened links every week.
5. Check PU tube carrier chain trays for proper guiding of chains.
6. Keep all the trolley rails free from foreign objects.
7. Check all the love-joy couplings for wear out of rubber spiders.
8. Clean dust collector tray, filters & hose tube every week.
9. Check driving & driven sprockets of all trolleys for misalignment.
