Instruction Question 1: Do you notice any transition schedules, token boards, or brain break cards,
specific directions, posted in or around the classroom to enable children to keep track of their day? >>>
The teachers display the assignments finished by students on the board called “good work.” And use
token boards obtaining good student recognizing.
Instruction Question 2: Examine the teacher’s instruction for the use of instructional design options
(individual, small and whole group teaching; teaching centers, co-teaching and parallel teaching). Explain
all the instructional design options used in the instruction and how these designs meet the needs of
students with an IEP. >>>
The teachers present the basic material to every student at once. Most of the students pick up the
concepts through whole group instruction. And teachers can read loud and say something nice to the
kids. Therefore, the whole group instruction helps determine a baseline for learning and basement. For
two students with IEP, the teachers spend more time with them. They teacher teach them slowly with
specific area needs and use special skills they want to work on independently.

important in crafting a good lesson plan that meets the needs of students with an IEP. >>>
The teachers always find better ways to convey information to students with IEP. They are very patient.
Also, they help them to appreciate the subject matter and empower them to become self-learners.

I think that one is essentialism, which means that teachers ensure students focus on what they must
know the core curriculum; for example, when teaching the alphabet, the teachers make sure everyone
is learning the letters and how to spell their names. And also, teachers observe the students making
progress.

The teachers use class décor to present the different culture in the classroom when they learn
alphabets.

Yes. Most of time, the students seem engaged in the lesson, but sometimes, a few students cannot
focus, instead, they were talking.

When I was there, there were no students isolated from the rest of the class for any reason
The teachers had good teaching plan each session. They finish the instruction on time.
Instruction Question 10: How does the cooperating teacher handle transitions from one subject or
period to another, and are these transitions efficient? >>>
Most students smoothly in and out of class and between activities to save instruction time. Ms. Megan
and her cooperating teacher community well each time. Therefore, shifting students from one task to
the next is worth getting right. I think that the transitions are efficient.
Instruction Question 11: List ways that the teacher attempts any “attention getting” commands? (Ex:
Countdown, Light flicker, Heads on Desk) How effective are they? >>>
“5-minute” music countdown before cleaning up; “hand- posture” for line up

One time, a kid started taking without raising his hand during the lesson. Ms. Megan talked to him
nicely and mentioned that “raising a hand” is the rule in the classroom. And then she asked him to
practice and let him answer the question.
