Volleyball is a game to bat the ball over the net with certain limitations before it touches the ground and
in such a way that the opponent cannot return it. The game is started by server who serves the ball over the
net behind the end line. The rules requires not more than three passes among the players in each side before
returning the ball or the opponents receive the ball and return it across the net in a series of not more than
three contact with the ball to the opponents within the specific limits results in loss of chance to serve and
gives a point to the teams opponent.
The game volleyball originated when William J. Morgan, Physical Education Director of Young Men
Christian Association (YMCA) began experimenting in 1895 at the Holeyoke, Massaachusetts, USA. He
combined the main feature of tennis with a ball of the basketball type. The original name of volleyball is
Mintonnete. Later Alfred F. Halsted, a professor of Springfield College suggested that the name Volleyball be
used was played on July 7, 1896. The name of this net game was derived from the word VOLLEY which is a
term in tennis meaning to hit the ball on the fly. The first rules were written by Morgan and printed in 1897.

Abstraction
Volleyball game played by two teams, usually of six players on a side, in which the players use their hands
to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch the court within the opponents’
playing area before it can be returned. To prevent this a player on the opposing team bats the ball up and
toward a teammate before it touches the court surface—that teammate may then volley it back across the net
or bat it to a third teammate who volleys it across the net. A team is allowed only three touches of the ball
before it must be returned over the net.
Volleyball is the most popular competitive sports for women in the Philippines . it is popular in the barrios,

INTRODUCTION
Basketball is the world's most well-liked team sports, wherein the target is to shoot a ball through a
basket horizontally positioned to earn points while following of rules. it's played with two teams of 5 players
played on a marked rectangular court with a basket at each width. Its court has 18 inches in diameter and 10
feet high
A field goal scores two points for the shooting team if a player is touching or closer to the basket than the
three-point line, and three points if the player is behind the three-point line. The team with the foremost
points at the top of the sports game wins, but extra time could also be issued when the sport ends with a
draw. The ball is advanced on the court by bouncing it while dribbling or passing it to a teammate. It’s a
violation to maneuver without travelling, to hold it, or to carry with both hands then resume double dribble.
Playing basketball helps to improve motor coordination, flexibility, and endurance. It also encourages
speed, agility, and strength. These skills are shown to have a positive effect on promoting a healthy body
weight and encouraging more physical activity, which can enhance cardiorespiratory fitness and self-esteem.

Football/Soccer is considered to be the world’s most popular sport. In football, there are two teams of 11
players. Football is played on a large grass field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to get the
soccer ball into the opposing team’s goal. The key to football is that, with the exception of the goalie, players
cannot touch the ball with their hands, they can only kick, knee, or head the ball to advance it or score a goal.
One of the reasons football is so popular is that it really only takes a ball and a flat open area to play. Kids
throughout the world will make up fields and goals just about anywhere and start playing the game. The game
is also fun and competitive.
Football is a great form of exercise as there is lots of running for good distances. The sport is also a good

Outfield players move the ball with any part of the body except their hands or arms, while the ball is in play.
Only the goal keeper can use their hands and this is only in their penalty area. When the ball goes out of play
at either side of the pitch an opposing player from the side which did not put the ball out of play can throw the
ball back into play using their hands. Both feet must remain on the floor behind the throw line. Both hands
must remain on the ball until it released from behind the throwers head.
