LEARNING EPISODE 11
Delivering My Lessons
Complete the given matrix by using Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction, once a
lesson is assigned to you. Consult your Resource teacher if your plans are ready for
implementation or your assistance is needed in any part of the lesson.
Print handouts,
textbook.
NOTICE
Using Robert Gagne's Nine Events of Instruction, what did you notice in the
following segments of learning:
• How did the new learnings relate with what they really
know?
The flow of the lesson or shall I say learning is continuing and not jumping to new
lesson that the students don't have prior learning. The new learning or lesson were
connected from the previous lesson, from lines to shapes. So, students apply what
they've learned in the past to current activities.
ANALYZE
After planning your lesson, you may be requested by your Resource Teacher to
deliver the lessons). Your Resource Teacher will use a classroom observation sheet
to evaluate the delivery of your lesson (s) Schools use different tools in rating
classroom/ online observations. Below is an example of a classroom observation
sheet."

REFLECT
Having implemented several lessons in your Cooperating School under the
supervision of your Cooperating Teacher, in what areas of the lesson do you need to
improve?
I think the areas that I need to improve are utilizing appropriate instructional
materials, sequencing and organizing the delivery of lesson, engaging the students
to participate in the class, as well as how to effectively provide constructive
criticism on their strengths and flaws.
REFLECT
I hope to achieve to address these problems and challenges by evaluating the
effectiveness of my teaching methods and improving it through employing methods
that are effective and attracts the students’ interest and attention.
PLAN
Some strategies/solutions/means that I can employ to improve these situations /
problems
1. question & answer method: this method is useful by 3 ways
a. if an easy question is asked to an average student, encourage him to give
answer. After answer, his confidence level will be boost and he give more attention
towards teaching.
b. few questions are challenging which liked by above average, clever students. So
that they also concentrate in lecture through they understand the topic early than
others.
c. teacher-student interaction is possible and class become more alive.
2. Discussion method
3. Role play method
4. Game method

III. Procedure

B. Motivation
Before reading the story, ask nine volunteers to do a task related to the story.
Each volunteer will paste the picture on the chart as they hear the kitten’s name
Tessie has nine kittens. Sometimes they are very naughty. They like to move around the
house.
Trixy is asleep on the sofa. Toby is playing with a ball of yarn. Topper is running after a
mouse. Tammy is hiding under the table. Topsy is next to the fish bowl. Trixy is walking
into the living room. Tinkle is jumping over the bin. Tally is standing in front of the door.
Tommy is hiding behind the chair. Now that Tessie has found all the kittens, she puts
them in a cage.
C. Lesson Proper
Now, let us make sentences based upon the position of the kittens that you have
pasted on the chart:
