Future-proofing the next generation,

today.
The Problem
Over 50% of Indian youth are not on track to have
the education and skills necessary for
employment in 2030*.
Integrating 21st-century skills with a blend of
workforce readiness, soft skills, technical skills, and
entrepreneurship is an urgent need to help the
youth adapt and participate in the changing
landscape. But this by itself is not enough.

To absorb these life skills and put to effective use,

the child equally needs to have:-
• Strong personal ethics that guides productive
behaviour
• A healthy mindset that helps them deal with
tough situations. References: *UNICEF report: Special edition of GBC-Education’s 2030 Skills Scorecard

About Muskurahat
Muskurahat Foundation is a non-profit organization that works primarily
with children and youth in shelter homes and underserved communities on
their holistic development that enables to bridge the gap on social and
economic inequities and bring them to an equitable platform to survive
and thrive in the world.

Started in 2014 by Himanshu Goenka, it has grown in the last six years to
expand its footprint in the development sector across Mumbai, Delhi,
Kolhapur and Bangalore.

Muskurahat’s key differentiator is the focus on beneficiary experience

which lies at the core of everything we do.

Flagship programs:
• Project KEYtaab works with children which focuses on holistic
development of children and comprises of social emotional learning,
academic support, and mental health
• Project Saarthi works with youth on career development, job readiness,
skill building and entrepreneurship.

Project KeyTaab
We work on three aspects:
• Academics by emphasizing on experiential learning
• Social Emotional Learning inculcating life skills and
personal ethics
• Maintaining and remedying mental wellbeing of the
child

A well-designed fellowship model enables our fellows

to conduct on ground activities. They undergo training
with us on Safe Space, First Responder, and Experiential
Learning

6
In collaboration with MOOL (social enterprise) we
conduct Art Workshops with children, either in
institutional or community setting. Post workshop,
the team at MOOL selects a few designs to print
on their clothing products, the artists (children) of
those designs are awarded an one year
scholarship to support their education under our
Project KEYtaab.

Project KEYtaab is implemented at every

institution/centre where we conduct the Art
Workshop
Project Saarthi
• A Job-Readiness program targeted towards a
youth who are under-equipped to crack jobs.

• We aim to help them identify and secure job

opportunities in line with the current job trends

• Parallel to this, the youngsters are also mentored

to help them identify their life goals and make
action plans to achieve it.

• The program covers the following aspects:

• Job Readiness
• Capacity Building Courses
• Mentoring & Scholarship

8
Project Partnership
We partner with organisations that are working with children in
communities and as childcare institutions. Through the partnership we
extend our assistance in strengthening academics through additional
support, inculcate social-emotional learning and take preventive and
remedying efforts towards the mental wellbeing of each child

We believe that collaborative work can help in creating deeper impact

and that combined efforts yield better outcomes.

In the partnership, we will conduct our activities parallel to the on-

going work of the partner organisation, with our resources.

However, we request support from partner organisations in

mobilization and assistance in the above-mentioned activities under
the project

9
Power of collective effort
• More manpower to work with the children and
create a measurable impact

• Additional support for the staff in

implementing the projects

• Capacity building for staff of both

organizations

• Knowledge exchange and learning

opportunities
