Inductive sensors of the telescoping mechanism

Replacement and addressing of the inductive sensors (IG)

WARNING!
Replacement and addressing the inductive sensors
may be performed only by authorized persons!

This requires the day code!

Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH do not assume responsibility for damages!

DANGER!

Important:
When addressing the inductive sensors (or all bus sensors), only one user (sensor) can always be
addressed.
If two or more users of the bus are unknown, those have to be addressed one after another.
Always put only one bus pin on an unknown bus user and address it subsequently.
All sensors are supplied to Liebherr with the address 0.

Inductive sensors of the telescoping mechanism

Replacement and addressing of the inductive sensors (IG)

• sensor is shown without marking as block

12.11
symbol like on fig. 12.11

Functional test of the IG on the LSB parameter picture:

• operate key “LSB”

• functional test of the IG by approaching or removing

a metallic object (switch on or off the IG, 1 or 0)

Correction of operating distance:

• check operating distance on the LSB parameter picture

• “RETURN” to return to LSB picture

• “RETURN” to return to test system
• “END” to return to operating picture

Functional test during telescoping:

• interlock gripper with tele 5

• change over to operating mode “automatic telescoping”

• telescope boom and watch the correct functioning on the telescoping picture

Remark:

• State of software:
The software state of the sensor software is always upward compatible, i.e. the actual value of the sensor
should be equal to or of a higher order than the set-point value of the sensor.

LTM 1080/1 - Superstructure OW-13
Telescopic boom electrics
Inductive sensors of the telescoping mechanism
Verification of the operating distances, feedback values and correction
• Set-up: The inductive sensors (IG) are block-mounted within a damping
effective distance
sleeve to produce a defined predamping without major setting
work.
Further advantage:
• The predamping can be checked by the feedback values. Thus,
the position of the IG can be checked.
• A non-existence of the predamping or of the damping sleeve is
called “undamped”.
IG ⇒ IG worked loose mechanically
⇒ predamping missing
operating damping ⇒ error message
flag sleeve

• Function with sleeve or edge (predamping):

The operating point “digital 1” switches ON when the operating flag has attained a distance of <2.6 mm.
⇒ That is called “damped”.
The operating point “digital 0” switches OFF when the operating flag has attained a distance of >2.9 mm.
⇒ That is called “predamped”.

• Operating mode
All IGs of the telescoping mechanism are running in the analog mode “IA”, i.e. the operating distance is
shown on the LSB parameter picture. (see fig. 12.9)

IMPORTANT:
The feedback values or the ope-rating distances of the inductive sen-sors have to be checked upon their
addressing (see fig. 12.9).

•Correctable inductive sensors on the tele locking device:

Correction of the sleeve seat if required.
