    TOPIC: FREEDOM

    The message today is about freedom. What is freedom? From who/what should we be free from?

    If you don’t know you are free to ask for answers.

    We started our new discussion about the kingdom and there were many questions. One of the

    questions were, “what did Jesus come to do on earth?” We found out that he came to save and

    bring the kingdom, whereas at this time we are studying about kingdom values including the

    king himself.

    The king who is Jesus, “what did he say about freedom?” John 8:36 says “If I set you free you

    are free indeed.”

    Although, the main question is are we really free, since we claim Jesus is our savior. My answer

    is no, because I still in constant battle with my nature. But I am striving to be in the line through

    the help of the holy spirit who helps me walk in the spirit not in my sinful nature.

    How can one walk in the spirit?

    Listen to how Nicodemus the teacher of the law answers Jesus in John 3:1-20: Jesus declared to

    him that I tell you the truth that no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.

    Nicodemus did not actually comprehend Jesus’s words. What about you. Are we the same as

    Nicodemus? Nicodemus understood all Moses’s law. We might be the same as Nicodemus

    because we understand the context in the bible but we really have no idea of what Jesus is trying

    to point out.

    If we do not understand being born in the spirit we will be going in the wrong direction. Why is

    this so? The spirit enables us to obey God, as we cannot abide by God’s command if we rely on

    our sinful nature.


    Therefore, our freedom is in the spirit of God. We won’t have freedom if keep saying plainly that

    Jesus is lord but not yet reborn in the spirit. Some might ask what is she meaning? I imply that if

    we are not ready to live in spirit then we are not ready for God’s kingdom. Freedom is for us

    being inside the Kingdom of God.

    Let us see Adam and Eve, when they were in God’s kingdom there were completely free, but

    after they were out and followed the advice of the serpent who was already out, they were not

    free anymore, they hid from God who was their father.

    In order to live in spirit, we must allow the baptism of the holy spirit and he will open our eyes,

    mind, and fully realize how the kingdom of God works. We should understand that these times

    require us to be inside the kingdom which makes us be free.

    Our freedom is walking in the spirit, our freedom is in changing of hearts to God.

    Pray to God so that he may open your eyes in order to see in the dark. God bless you all!
