This manual contains safety messages. They point out potential hazards that could hurt you or others around you as well as damage the
equipment in use. These messages should therefore be read carefully and understood. They are highlighted by the safety alert symbol
as shown on the left:
The potential hazards are explained as to what could happen and how to avoid or reduce the chance for injury or damage.
Important information has been highlighted as well. To point out this information, a light bulb icon is used. It brings topics to your
attention that could, for example, facilitate maintenance or to clarify when it is advisable to consult your distributor/supplier.
The Resqtec equipment is designed to provide safe operation. All users should read and be thoroughly familiar with the operating instructions
and safety precautions stated in this manual. Operator safety depends on users being properly trained by the Authority having jurisdiction and
using the equipment for its intended purposes only. The following safety precautions must be observed at all times:
UNTRAINED USE OF RESQTEC RESCUE EQUIPMENT AND ITS ACCESSORIES MAY RESULT IN VERY DANGEROUS AND
POTENTIALLY HARMFUL SITUATIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT!
• Resqtec rescue equipment must only be operated by people authorized and qualified by the Authority having jurisdiction.
• Be aware that this is not an all-encompassing training manual. This manual is meant as a reference-guide for working with this
specific piece of equipment, and the user should already be trained in and qualified for using rescue equipment.
• Suitable protective equipment must be worn as directed by the Authority having jurisdiction. At a minimum, this should include
gloves, helmet, eye protection and body protection — such as turnout gear.
• Prior to use, inspect all components for any signs of damage or fraying. Do not use damaged equipment.
• Stay alert. Do not operate the system when tired.
• Use only Resqtec authorized service parts.
• This equipment should only be used with accessories approved by Resqtec. Use of unauthorized accessories can result
in unpredictable and unreliable product operation and is therefore prohibited.
Before using the equipment and its related products and accessories, conduct an overall size-up of the intended use and safeguard against
potential hazards before installing the product. Read and understand this manual before using the equipment.
The WARNING and SAFETY labels on the product alert the user to special hazards inherent with its use.
Should they become damaged or unreadable, contact the manufacturer to obtain a replacement.

Resqtec products operate at 350 bar/5,075 PSI allowable pressure (Optimized 350 bar) which allows a smooth and more controlled operation.
To support interoperability, Resqtec can also provide means to connect the products to other brands’ system components.
Contact your distributor/supplier for information about parts (couplings e.g.) to make your equipment ready for interoperability.
ALWAYS BE AWARE THAT TO CONNECT A RESQTEC PRODUCT TO ANY PUMP, THE SAME HYDRAULIC FLUID
AND COUPLERS NEED TO BE USED.
Your product can be supplied with the requested coupler(s) or can be changed in a later stadium by your distributor/
supplier. It is also possible to purchase an adaptor kit between different connectors. Contact your distributor/supplier
if you want to connect to another pump and change the fluid and/or coupler if necessary.
In this manual the Resqtec NEO1 couplers and the Resqtec STD couplers are described; follow the instructions of your current couplers only.
The Resqtec products are standard equipped with NEO1 quick action automatic by-pass couplers. This makes it possible to connect and
disconnect both pressure and return in one simple motion. It also allows you to connect and disconnect under full pump free flow pressure. If
your product is supplied with STD connectors, the connectors for pressure and return are separated. Make sure the pump is switched to neutral
when connecting or disconnecting these STD connectors. If your product is modified on your request with other couplers, please also refer to
that coupler supplier’s manual for proper additional instruction.
• Make sure connectors (and pins) are clean to ensure proper operation.
• Pull both couplers to check whether the couplers are properly connected.
• If couplers do not have auto lock mechanism on the product, rotate collar of female coupler to lock and prevent accidental release.
• Unroll hose reels to their full extend. Make sure that no pressure is applied before unrolling.
1
Make sure the dust caps are removed from both the coupler
(male & female):
• Female dust cap releases when female coupler is released
(rotate and pull back).
• Male dust cap releases by simply pulling it.
Align the NEO1 female coupler located on the hose with the
NEO1 male coupler located on the product.
1
Rotate the NEO1 female coupler unlock ring in the direction of the arrow
and pull backwards.
2
The NEO1 female coupler on the hose ejects automatically.
Make sure the dust caps are placed back on both couplers
(male & female).
1
Check whether the pump relief valve is in its neutral/release pressure relief position (with exception of NEO1).
2
Remove the dust caps from the couplers.
3
Align the STD coupler and push the male and female part firmly
into each other.
1
Rotate the collar on the STD coupler until the cutout on the collar is in
front of the ball. Then push the collar towards the female connector.
2
Place the dust caps on both couplers.
In some situations, pressure may build-up in the product, making it difficult to connect.
This pressure can easily be released.
1
Take the NEO1 male dust cap and turn it around. The opposite side of
the dust cap contains the pressure release activator. Align the backside
of the NEO1 male dust cap with the NEO1 male coupler.
2

7 After heavy use, CRC SP 400 can be • Only apply on the blades and protection plates
used to ensure the cutter’s blades are
protected against corrosion. • Spray and clean with dry paper cloth. Read instructions carefully
before using CRC SP 400
• Clean any other parts that may have attracted
some coating in the process.
ATTENTION! IF YOU DECIDE THE BLADES AND PROTECTION PLATES NEED TO BE COATED FOR ANTI-CORROSION
PURPOSES, ONLY USE CRC SP 400. OTHER PRODUCTS ARE KNOWN TO HAVE NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON THE LUBRICANT
USED IN YOUR EQUIPMENT. OTHER PRODUCTS ALSO DO NOT HAVE THE HIGH PROTECTION GRADE THAT CRC SP 400
PROVIDES.
It is advisable to carry out regular maintenance; depending on the use at least every 3 months or 25 operating hours.
When carrying out regular maintenance one should, in addition to the steps described in chapter 6.1, pay extra attention to the following:
MAINTENANCE ON FRONTLINERS

have a negative effect on the connector.
• Verify smooth operation by connecting
and disconnecting al couplers at least
three times.
The standard Quick Action Couplers are lubricated by the hydraulic fluid.
Clean, good working couplers therefore need not other means of lubrication.
2 Connect all components and test all functions. • All products should make at least two
complete cycles.
DO NOT TAKE UNNECESSARY RISK BY UTILIZING FAULTY HOSES. WORN OR DAMAGED HOSES CAN CAUSE SERIOUS
INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE RESQTEC SYSTEM AND OTHER PROPERTY.
Many years of safe use is guaranteed if the product is properly cared for and maintained. To this end the product must be
inspected at least once a year. This must be carried out by a service technician trained by Resqtec who possesses the
necessary tools and testing equipment.
It is also possible for you, the user, to carry out maintenance yourself. In the context of your own safety and the product liability it is necessary
that appropriate training should be undertaken first. Your distributor/supplier can advise you on this and/or attend to the annual maintenance on
a contract basis, if desired.
STRUCTURALLY DAMAGED AND/OR BROKEN EQUIPMENT MUST NEVER BE USED DURING RESCUE OPERATIONS. THIS
MAY RESULT IN VERY DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY HARMFUL SITUATIONS. DO NOT ATTEMPT!
If structural damage and/or broken equipment or parts are discovered, immediately contact your distributor/supplier or the manufacturer.
DO NOT REPAIR ANY BROKEN EQUIPMENT AND/OR PARTS. ALWAYS CONTACT YOUR DISTRIBUTOR/SUPPLIER OR THE
MANUFACTURER.
Repairing equipment and/or parts causes your warranty to expire. Always contact your distributor/supplier or the manufacturer when broken
parts and/or equipment are discovered. Broken equipment and/or parts can then be sent to certified service centers
The following storage recommendations count for all Frontliner and its accessories:
• Do not close the blades of the Frontliner completely, otherwise excessive pressure might develop
• Ensure that the equipment is completely depressurized
• If needed, apply an anti-corrosion layer on the blades and protection plates as described in chapter 6.1
• Store out of direct sunlight
• Store the equipment in a dry, well-ventilated area:
The various parts can be re-used at the end of their service life. Collect the hydraulic oil and dispose of it separately. Refer to the MSDS that
was supplied with your product and/or follow local regulations on disposal.
The product consists of steel, aluminum, neoprene (seals) and plastic. The product does not contain any pressurized components.
Consult your supplier for further information on recycling.
MISUSE OF RESQTEC EQUIPMENT IN THIS WAY MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY AND/ OR DAMAGE
TO THE SYSTEM AND/OR PROPERTY.
Straight blades have a tendency to twist when cutting in certain structures. Whilst cutting, mind the following:
DURING CUTTING, STOP WHENEVER YOU NOTICE THAT BLADES ARE TWISTING. WHEN TWISTING, THE OPENING EX-
CEEDS 8MM / 5/16” (MEASURED AT THE TIP). THIS INCUBATES A POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS SITUATION FOR YOU AND
YOUR SURROUNDINGS.
If blades start to twist, make sure to open up the blades again and make a different cut.
