- Short text, easy to understand, written in capital font, mostly
using image
e. Kinds of Notice:
- Command: used when you are telling someone to do
something (bossy) ex: keep the door close!
- Caution: formal warning given to a person to remind reader to
be careful. Ex: wet floor.
- Information: Giving information to the reader ex:smoking
area.
- Prohibition: Readers are not allowed to do the things written
- Warning: informing a danger, ask people to be aware, ex: high
voltage

LEARNING ACTIVITY 2:
Posters and Banners
a) Poster: Temporary promotion of an idea, product, or event
put in a public space for mass compsumption
- Social Function: to promote an event, to challenge audience
into action
- Generic Structure:
. Header: Logo of author
. Title area: clearly visible, significant, not too long
. About author: to be recognized by people
. Main area: presenting main statement
. Footer: contact detail
. Background: color of paper
. Fonts: San serif font, no more 70-90 caracters
- Language Feature: Phrases and Avtive voice
b)Banner: piece of clothe bearing a symbol, slogan, or other
message
- Social Function: to announce, promote an event/ sevice
- Generic Structure:
. Logo: to build reader’s awareness
. Value prposition: The most prominent element of banner.
(big and bold font)
. Body copy: to get visitor’s attention
. Image: must relevat to the message
. CTA: invite readers to know more
- Language Features: Simple Present Tense, Simple phrase of
statement ( in large font)
- Characterstics of poster: Look at me, Read me

LEARNING ACTIVITY 3:
Graphic Organizer: Teaching and learning toolthat used to
organized ideas in away that is easy to be internalized
- Social Function: for organizing and understanding
information
- Generic Structure:
. Title, Heading, Label: indicates datawhich are going to be
presented
. Specific location: to present symbol or picture
. Short description: limited sentence
- Language Feature: it has multiple uses ( planning,
brainstorming, summarizing)

LEARNING ACTIVITY 4:
Infographics: an information in chart/ diagram form.
-Social Function:
. Statitical: to visualize survey result and present data
. Informal: to inform a concept of a topic
. Timeline: to visualize the history of something
. Process: toprocess a summary of the steps of process
. Geographic: to visualize location based on data
. Comparison: to compare options to make one option seems
better
. Hierarchical: to arrange information from greatest to least
. List: to share a collection of list ( contains of numer and ikon)

. Headline, Introduction, Main contact, conclusion, Footer
- Language Feature:
. Informative: to bring clarity in confusion
. Engaging: Stimulating people to read
. Accessible: communicating to the readers with clear language
