If you are unsure of what programming options are in your scanner, or you’ve

changed some options and want the factory settings restored, scan the
bar code below. This will copy the factory config-
uration for the currently active interface to the current configuration.

The programming section lists the factory default settings for each of the menu
commands for the standard RS-232 interface on the following pages, indicated
by a green arrow. Exceptions to default settings for the other interfaces can be
found in Appendix D, Factory Default Settings.
Remember to cover any unused bar codes on this and the facing page to ensure
that the scanner reads only the bar code you intend to scan.
This feature specifies whether or not Label IDs are transmitted to the host and
if so, whether to attach them as a prefix or suffix.
Choices are:
• Disable
• Enable as a Prefix
• Enable as a Suffix
To select the option for Label ID Control:

1. Scan the Enter/Exit Programming Mode bar code.

2. Scan the desired option from the bar codes below. You’ll need to cover any
unused bar codes on this and the facing page to ensure that the scanner
reads only the bar code you intend to scan.

3. Complete the programming sequence by scanning the Enter/Exit Pro-

gramming Mode bar code.
