1. What factors help women gain better access to job opportunities in hospitality
and tourism industry?
There have been many obstacles for women to have or enter a job. It is like
unequal pay; women are not paid equally or they are not paid properly than men. This is
happening decades ago, because society thinks women have no right to work and they
should stay at home. Sexual harassment, be it physical, mental, or verbal harassment,
has also become a factor, many women do not stay at work because of these
harassments because society views women as weak, so they are prone to this issue.
Another possible factor is that women are promoted less often than men, because
society used to think that if you are a woman, you don't have the right to lead a high
position, because they think that men are more capable of leading. and lastly is fear of
asking to be paid what your worth because the rights of women were lacking in the past,
they did not have the right to demand or request the right payment for their work, just
what they should be paid. But nowadays women's rights have expanded more, there are
many factors that help them to find better jobs and opportunities in the hospitality and
tourism industry, like women are usually organized in things. People now also think
that women are also capable of leading a high position. Today's women know how to
fight for their rights. Women use their intelligence and strength so that they can easily
enter the industry. So, in today's time, not only men are capable, women are also
becoming a picture of power and strength.
