    Interview questions for the A2 Speaking Test

    Speaking directions:

     Try to talk as much as you can. Speak more than the examiner if possible.
     Talk as fluently as possible and be spontaneous.
     Be confident.
     Avoid one-word answers! (Not saying much or giving yes/no answers all the time)
     Do not remind silent.
     Keep talking until the examiner stops you.

    Phase #1

    Self-Introduction.

    Introduce yourself in English.

    Phase #2 (3 questions each)

    1 Personal information and family

    • What have been the best moments of your life so far?


    • Could you tell me about your family?
    • Would you rather be an only child or have brothers and sisters? Why?
    • How often and on what occasions do you see your relatives?
    • Could you tell me about your favorite relative?
    • How do you share housework in your family?
    • What are some of the things that your family usually do together? • How are weekdays
    different from weekends in your family’s life?
    • What are your plans for the future?
    2. Social life MARIA

    • Could you tell me about your best friend? • What is important about a friend for you?

    • What family occasions do you celebrate in your family and how?


    • Do you have any family tradition?
    • How do you usually celebrate your birthday?
    • Could you tell me about the shopping habits in your family?
    • Do you prefer shopping in a small shop or a big supermarket/hypermarket/shopping mall?
    Why?
    • What kind of people do you like to spend time together with?

    • Have you or someone in your family ever had an accident? If, yes, tell me about it.

    3. Describing your house. JOSELINE - JESSICA

    • Would you rather live in a big city or in the countryside? Why?


    • Could you describe your house/flat and the rooms in it? (Number of rooms)
    • Which is your favorite place at home and why?
    • What do you and your family do to protect the environment?
    • Do you practice eco friendly habits at home? If so, tell me about it.
    • Talk about eco friendly habits that people need to adapt at home.

    4. School and Jobs LADY

    • What were your favorite subjects/lessons at school and why?


    • What is an ideal teacher like for you?
    • What are some of the best memories of your school years?
    • What do you think? How can you use your English in the future?
    • How is it best to learn English? What has worked for you? Why?
    • What do you like most about learning languages?

    • Could you tell me about the job you would like to have in the future?
    • Do you have a job? If so, what do you do for a living?
    • Would you like to be self-employed or an employee? Why?
    5. Free time/entertainment JAIRON

    • What do you like doing in your free time?


    • Could you tell me about a film you have seen recently?
    • What are your favorite TV programs and why?
    • Which do you prefer: watching a film on TV/on video or watching a film in the cinema?
    Why?
    • What are your favorite places for going out?
    • What does music mean to you?
    • What type of music do you listen to?
    • Tell me what you read. Where and how often do you read that/those?

    6. Science and technology JULEISSI

    • How do you think our life is easier nowadays than it was in the past?
    • How do technological devices make people’s life easier?
    • What technological devices would you not like to live without? Why?
    • How important is your smartphone?
    • Do you still watch traditional tv or do you prefer internet videos? Why?
    • What do you usually watch on internet?
    • How often do you use the internet?
    • How television is today different than they were in the past.
